I'm not concerned too much about image, but I just can't stand the thought of being beat up by a stock Vette. I know, it's all in my mind but at a stop light, I have to ask myself 'they think they got me beat' before we even race (or at the dragstrip) and ya know what? Seeing the specs, I can't argue the point that the Viper will dominate. Stock vs. stock, it can't. I want that from the factory! Vettes now know they'd better not race me. The Viper has that 'image'. Mustangs and Hondas just want to see me go fast.
I don't mind getting beat by highly modded anythings at the strip. Hell, I got my butt handed to me by a Monte Carlo a few times, but in the stoplight wars, those in 'the know' know that the Viper isn't king of the hill
anymore (or soon enough)
I also was going to ditto all the 1-6 reasons above. I drive my snake year round
and would love to have all this stuff under a nice simple no arguments warranty. Add a Paxton to your new Mamba and ANYTHING goes wrong....
I couldn't handle the separation depression while it got fixed, then I'd **** when I got the repair bills.
By the way DSR, we're talking the SRT coupe and it will prolly go for a bit more than the 'vertible for at least a little while. 6 months to a year is my guess.
