Well I had my first run out of the year weekend last, bumped into this leaving the old Brooklands circuit :)

I ended up following the old Bentley for a mile or so down to the Motorway, you should have seen the look on peoples faces as we cruised along :D

His bigger wheels were specially designed for running over "poor" people!

Stunning contrast, between the two cars.

Brooklands is covered with weeds now, is that right? I think I saw James May running slot car track through that neighborhood with an army of locals.

beautiful!!! gotta appreciate the amazing advancements in engineering and design over the decades that is automotive history.

The track surface (what is left of it) is in poor condition, but they do have some events where they use a short part of the banking. Even if you had loads of monies, it would be impossible to rebuild Brooklands circuit as there are shopping centers and new housing estates and industrial estates built around the former site :( You are right that James May attempted to re-create the original track using slot car track. I was there that day, I could not let the opportunity pass and sneaked this onto the track, (I also helped build that part of the track with my son :)
