Here's an example how to do it.. but I couldn't make up my mind so I went around again.. like a roundabout in England?

Here's a video.. once you snap it loose, just be moderate with the pedal, Viper has enuf torque at low rpm to keep it sliding around.. most make the mistake of too much rpm and lose control..

I would say you need to practice turning more. I have no problems making u turns in any of my vipers. Now the Ram Mega Cab on the other hand needs a three point turn in less than two lanes and a wide shoulder. You should try starting the turn long and to the far right then cutting tight to the inside.

Hmmm, that's a good tip. I always get stuck right after the first spin. I guess I need some more practice...

When I first bought the GTS, I was shocked to find out that a turn I could make in my 1963 Cadillac (18 feet 8 inches long) presented problems for the Viper. You just gotta get used to it or learn some of the techniques taught above!

And if you need to spin the tires at a normal intersection then something is wrong with car or driver. In my 15 or 16 years of Viper driving the turning circle has never bothered me.

I think the fact that you said you were "Embarrassed" opened that door. On another note, I wonder if you could use this line..........."You see officer, the Viper has a very wide turning circle necessitating the use of excessive force.......uh torque that is......sir"

You're right about that, rims are like drums / barrels interfering with suspension components, and also there is quite a bit of scrubbing, when in full lock the turning radius path of each tire becomes less concentric, fighting each other to turn on a different radius center.

Turn those huge tires, and they are gonna rub if you try to turn them too tight.

Sorry, but it is the nature of the beast.

Figure out where the hell you are going so you won't need to make u-turns.

Very interesting video. I would guess there is a connection somewhere between the difference in turning radius that ties to the amount of vipers that are wrecked in spin-outs by new drivers
