Nice. Thats the impression I got on the phone when I was trying to send him my car. Evidently he had too many shows to film and never called me back with a transport time.

And, no, I wont be your neighbor :)

SapphireGTS,
For a guy that has over 2000 posts on this board it appears that you have more telephone time on your hands than Doug Levin :) .

Paolo,
I think Doug owes YOU an apology after what Roof's car did to you at the track ;) . Not good for moral after having your foot replace your tongue :p lol

That was the case. I built up about 1800 of those when I worked at an insurance company talking on the phone all day. I was on work autopilot so most of my effort went to posting here :)

I would like to see a Heffner/Levin blower only shootout though. They both seem to make some sick cars.

The jello thing might be cool if it was 2 naked chicks. Not 2 greesy mechanics :)

Chuck, is this what I get for trying to stick up for Doug? F-You! Corksorkar!

I did not set my car up to rule the dragstrip you a-hole!

Have you ever run your car at the strip? B**ch?

I am done with you now.

Max, laugh all you want, by the cuntent and tone of all your candy a$$ posts, you make chuck look like a slicks-and-skinnies-drag-racing-fiend. P.S.==> Have you gotten any action at the kotex machine?

It's obvious to all the keyboard racers are still investing in quite a little bit of human capital investment via their finger dexterity.

Re: The Ultimate Tuner Challenge:JH vs DL

My bucks are on Levin. I know for a fact* that he was a semi-pro jello wrestler a few years ago. At the top of the WJA for years(World Jello Association).
He's probably out of shape but how much training does it take to become a jello wrestler?

I can see Pay-per-View written all over this.

Re: The Ultimate Tuner Challenge:JH vs DL

Chucky, Chucky, Chucky it appears you missed Paolo's dyno runs where it [******] slapped Roof's cars HP, which until outdone had always been the "Claim to Fame" of Roofs car. Same dyno, same day. But the idea wasn't even to do that, but to run on the highway with the other JH. That race never happened though, so for doing this lame ass drag racing the setup would have been a bit different.(small pully, removed sway bars, softer shocks etc.) Oh yeah, that 862 was on the low boost pulley too, hmmm, not bad if I do say so myself. I think it was quite obvious that the torque was down due to the lower boost. But I even suprised myself with how high the HP stayed with a few tweaks to the tuning.

The real peerformance advantage comes in the 60 Ft time. Let's see, a 1.46 vs 1.74. So Chucky in your view Roofs car is about 20% faster if I understand your logic.

I can take a shitbox mustang and run 9's all day for under $20K, but what else can it do. We've got Neons here in Chi town running 10's http://www.hahnracecraft.com/auto/neon/neon.htm
and if you scroll down you can even see the original SVS Turbo system.

Chucky, the bottom line is there is a huge difference in setting up a car for the street, the strip or the track. But you woulnd't know, 'cause you don't run your's anywhere.
What did your car run that day?

How cute....Paolo has another mouth piece
I understand your point Juanomotime, Paolo drove all that way to run low boost on the dyno. And when he got to the track, he thought he would go even slower -- good strategy! I'll have to write that down :2tu:

Chuck I do not need another mouth piece........ I could use another whipping boy though, do you have any candy a$$ friends or a clone of yourself that would serve the purpose?

"Paolo drove all that way to run low boost on the dyno. And when he got to the track, he thought he would go even slower -- good strategy! I'll have to write that down"

Chuck, if you really want to be consistent, I really think you should TYPE that one down!

You know, you even responded to the post I made regarding why I went to Texas==>

Re: Something doesn't seem to add up...
#353554 - 12/16/03 10:15 AM

Max, with all due respect to Dr. Roof, DLM and yourself, you are correct about the torque to say the least. Look at the turbo cars!....I am sure David's belt was slipping.......

You also have to know I did not go to Texas with the intention of putting down the "Big Number" as far as the dyno was concerned.

I went to Texas to meet everybody and to run JPH on the highway 100-200 MPH and all other kinds of runs, and then also to do slicks and skinnies passes down the 1/4 mile.

As far as peak HP #'s are concerned, I am going to twin turbos and could really care a less for dyno #'s records ==> I had my little moment in the sun a while back and that's fine for me.

The reason I have done all the upgrades to my car was to DRIVE the car. I have certainly done that and have enjoyed the hell out of it and I look foreward to much more enjoyment in the future. Hell, I even took my car out for a little 100 mile ride last night in the 32-34 degree weather and (of course was able to spin the tires at 100 MPH with partial throttle). I also hit 170 MPH on the new concrete section that has 200 MPH sweepers when it will be dry and warmer.

Getting back to the questions of this thread, I think the track is more suspect that anything here.

Chuck, you quoted this part in response to me:

"==> Did you now Dean Word ran 125 MPH in the 1/4 in the morning when everybody did their fastest times? ==> I ran in the afternoon, JPH ran 3 MPH slower in the afternoon runs.......

==> Dean has a stock(power-wise/engine work/exhaust) 1996 GTS with rear muffler delete and an x-pipe.

==>Dean has 420 RWHP. How is that possible to go 125 MPH with a STOCK car?

Hmm...... interesting, I think this explains it all."

You replied, " So what was your excuse Paolo? "

I do not see any excuses for myself I went to Texas and did everything I planned to do that was in my control. I can't help it if JPH did not hold up his end of the bargain.

I worked my a$$ off to get the put in the clutch, transmission/etc... into the car, get the car on my shilt trailer and drive there through the snow wash the car when I got there missing an entire nights sleep on the drive/wash the car before the dyno day.

I do not make excuses.

Obviously your reading comprehension skills need some work as you read my response regarding the purpose goals of my trip. Then you come back with this:

"Paolo drove all that way to run low boost on the dyno. And when he got to the track, he thought he would go even slower -- good strategy! I'll have to write that down"

Why don't you TYPE this:

.......Before I go criticizing others who break their ass to do something, maybe I should try to do just SOMETHING myself........

Why don't you try to TYPE that about a hunderd million times before you try to give me any shilt about what I have done!

Maybe before you get to the end of that, you will realize what a pathetic little man you are.........Go drive your car and DO something!

Gerald, you are correct, I had about 40 more RWHP and David had about 40 more RWTQ. His belt was slipping, I was running a bigger, lower boost pulley. I guess the only way to resolve the situation would be to run one more time in Florida Roof with a tight belt and me with the 887.7 RWHP/864.5 RWTQ small pulley.

I'll make the trip, will Chuck show his face? How about Max? These guys like to give me **** for my efforts while they have done NOTHING in regards to racing/driving their cars. How about we all go out and make some bad ass videos? This Keyboard racing/pansy-a$$ internet arguing is a waste of time! What do you say?
