My Gen 2 seats give me a back ache right in the middle of my back. Are there alternatives? Thanks.

Perhaps a stupid question, but have you tried adjusting the lumbar support?
Marty [martyb] has Gen 3 seats in his GTS. You can check with him for feedback.
i have gen 3 seats in my rt 10 and yes you can make them look to tall in the car but where you adjust to sit and dirve they are about 1in from the top of the roll bar. I will take some pics with them adjusted correctly.
Is this with the stock seat brackets or with a seat lowering kit? Also, did you gain/lose/no change knee clearance between your knee and the knee bolster under the dash after installing GenIII seats?
Thanks,
- Tony
i used the brackets and tracks that are on the gen 3 seats just modified them. I would say that its jsut about the same MAYBE lost a hair in the knee area. I say maybe because before my knee hit the light swtich and it does now.

I could take it to a auto interior shop and see if they can help. Maybe they could swap out the current foam for something thatis softer and has more give, but I really don't want to mess with pristine seats, but I will if I can't find a solution.
Aren't the body types basicly the same? I would think the seats would be interchangable. No?Ideally, I could find some Gen 1 seats and change them out and keep the Gen 2 seats nicely stored in case I sell the car.
Thanks. I look forward to the pics. Why did you make the change???
Do Gen III seats actually work for you? Maybe you should have a custom seat made from your existing seat. Nothing is worse than driving a car that doesn't fit properly and actually causes you pain. Who cares about originality, it's your back!
