Interesting thread, Nadine, Luke, and All. Do I not recall an instance at the Silver State a few years back where a well known tuner suffered tread separation (heard the chunks hitting bodywork, and slowed down ) on what I THOUGHT was Michelin Pilot Sports at high speed...and subsequent discussion concerning effect (unexpected or underestimated)of downforce from rear wing at SPEED thereby overloading the design for said tire ??? (something like 1000-1500+ lbs. EXTRA load on rear tires). On the other hand, I MAY be senile and have the facts mixed up. Anyone else help out here ???
