I am anxiously awaiting my 19/20 wheels to come in and want to go ahead and order tires. Wheels are 19x10 and 20x13... I want to make sure the front side walls match the rears... I am debating to go with the Pirelli Rosa 275/30/19 and 345/25/20 or the Nitto 285/30/19 and 345/25/20. I am thinking the Pirelli front side wall would match the rears better since its a 275 vs 285 tire :dunno:

Thoughts?

The Pirelli does look better then the Nitto. It is almost a perfect match front to rear. The Nitto front sidewall looks a little taller then the rear. The Nitto rear looks stretched on a 13" rear in my opinion. ILLSMOQ runs the Pirelli's in 19/20. Looks great. Ive seen both tires in 19/20 and Pirelli wins hands down.
I run the PS2's, because I wanted better traction but the rear is definatley taller. I may switch to Pirelli next time for the looks.

What size in the Pirelli? 275 or 285 for the front?

Thanks

Thanks

275/30/19

I have a 19X10.5 and the Pirelli 275 looked good on it as well. The way the rim protector is, it allows it to come out to rim edge and looks better then the other tires.

Do you have any pictures? I like the idea of a slighty taller rear tire, especially since I do not plan to lower the car.

If the front is 19x10.5, what size rear rim are you running? I was thinking 20x12.5 with the more narrow 20/335 vs. stock 19/345 tire...

Im on a 20x13 rear. Funny thing is, the PS2 335 is as wide as Pirelli 345. It actually fits the rim better then the Nitto 345 also. Only thing about PS2 is its 3/4" taller. But its stickier and the taller profile helps traction too. Heres a few pics..

You can definatley dump the car more on the Pirelli or Nitto. You can get the slammed look. it looks good. But for me the PS2 works for traction and also, it actually raised the car a little and made it easier to get over the rail on my automatic gate at home. I used to drag on it with my stock wheels. With the 20's and PS2 in rear it actually lifted car frame a hair even though im still lowered with motons. Anyways, hope the pics help your decision one way or the other.

Great pics - thanks.

Maybe the 335 PS2s are wider than the Pirellis of Nittos, but I think the 345/19 PS2s are wider than the 335/20s, so I was thinking a 12.5 rim might look better than a 13 rim, but I guess the 13s look good ... Why did you go with 10.5s vs. 10s up front?

When I ordered from Iforge I told them Id probably run the Nitto's. The front only comes 285, so they told me to go 10.5" I ended up hearing so-so reviews on Nitto, so I didnt end up running that tire.
They said they mostly do 10.5" and the wider the rim, better handling for road course, hills etc. So I went with a 10.5" front. My 275 PS2 looks a little stretched, but mostly because it has a smaller rim protector so it doesnt cover edge of rim all the way. My Buddy ILLSMOQ mounted up one of his Pirelli 275's on my rim and it looked perfect on my 10.5" rim.

Thanks man!!!!

But take any Viper, throw wheels on it and lower it and its a whole new car. Yours would look so mean with 19/20" wheels, black centers and lowered. I almost bought a black Viper just for that mean ,intimidating look.

Would it be nuts to run a slightly taller 265/35/19 (instead of 275/30/19) to go with the taller profile of 335/20 rears in a 19/20 set up? Has anyone done this?
