Got my first Viper last year, 96 SR-10. I need new tires and am trying to find out what you guys think are the best suggestions. I drive it sparingly and would like to take it to the track every once in a while, so I want something relatively soft, but not a pure track tire. Any info would help....

PM one of the mods and get changed from "enthusiast" to "owner" or better yet, join VCA!
You've got more choices for tires with the 17"s than with 18's.
Budget-Kumho Ecsta, Best-PS2, in between: BFG KDW's (see recent thread)

What is a 96 SR-10 :dunno:

As the owner you should know whether it is a 1996 RT/10 or not ?

Went with BFG KDW's in stock size for my 01 ACR. Have about 1100 miles on them so far, and they've been great. Read some complaints that said they were noisy, but I don't know what they were talking about. Their very good, and cost @ $1300 mounted and balanced for all 4 from Discount Tire.
