My BUDDY Ed blasted me that nothing was getting done on my Viper so now I'm motivated. I ripped of the old exhaust system.
My question to you is what should I do with it?
Is it worth anything or should I just hall it to the scrap yard?

If it is worth something what is it worth? It may just be worth more as scrap steel. Let me know what you think.

I trashed mine. I wanted to keep it so that I'd have all the OEM parts, but really, it being rusty and all, it just wasn't worth trying to store it. I figure if the time comes that I want to return the car to 100% stock, there are plenty of systems out there.

My first suggestion is to put those heat sheilds back on - some
aftermaret exhausts have been known to melt the inside of the
engine bay.

I'm keeping my old setup handy - states are really pushing hard
to outlaw aftermarket exhausts and I would hate to find myself
without it a few years down the road.

Cody,

I think I may hang on to the heat shields for now as per reasons pointed out here. If I decide to get rid of them I'll contact you.

Adam,

I called you and left a message. I'll cut and sell you the cats.

I've been looking for the head pipes coming from manifold to the cat. I have a set of the "tube" manifolds, but need the pipes/clamps. Can anyone help?

Bob,

Thank you for calling, sorry I did not get your message until now. I do not need the cats themselves, but the pipes connected to the cats that come from the header. So the pipe starting at the header flange down to right before the cats. Cutting the cats off would save a ton on shipping, as the pipe assembly from the flange to the cat is fairly light compared to the whole assembly with the cats welded on, that is what I was trying to say in my PM. Sorry for the confusion. Please shoot me a PM, email ([email protected]) or a phone call if you decide to sell them.

Thank you,

Adam

Glad to see progress is being made. Hope you have her done to drag race on June 10th.

The Belangers you got are jet hot coated, you should not need the heat shields. I have been running my Edelbrocks with no heat shields for 3 years now and have not had any issues.

I want the piece outlined in the red box. It includes the flange to connect to the header all the way down down to where the cat starts, which includes the flex pipe.
