I did not preorder 'cause I thought the lines would be huge. I was a little bored at work tonight so I went to Autotrader. 116 2013 Vipers popped up. Guess I did not need a preorder after all.... Time to shop.

Went to Autotrader and noticed a dealer in Anaheim is discounting their Launch Edition $5620....smokin' good deal, if you can believe what you read! That's just the first page...

I do believe that 'tons' requires 4 numerical values.

If you are wanting a bright red one or a blue/white LE car, you can find those sitting on dealer lots now. Any other colors haven't been built yet, other than a handful of the metallic red cars. Most of the cars listed on Autotrader are just pre-order cars that haven't arrived yet.

They are all allocations dealers have that haven't been sold - but aren't built.
That number seems low to me, IMO. Then again, I stopped at four local dealers and put my info down to preorder and not one ever called me back once Nov rolled around (Granted Bernie got me on the phone first day banks were open to order!).
Also lets not forget many dealers will be adding their "market adjustment" onto those cars too, so perhaps not a big shock that they haven't sold them ahead of time... Perhaps patience and I could have gotten one at invoice later this year... But, I'd rather have my custom order!

It's taking serious self control to not just grab one of the red ones. I have to say I used to love red, had a several red cars, then got sick of it and got into black & silver. But that red is nice and I've taken a personal oath to not buy yet another black Viper, so ....
I'm trying to hold for 2014 and see what's offered. But I can't say I haven't played on paper with selling all the cars and building the collection around a new red '13 coupe. Distracting myself by working on my gen4 now. Hope it works.

LOL you ain't alone brother! I figure I am a month out from getting my SRT, but don't you think I haven't pondered picking up one of the Red SRTs to have it now... But, waited all this time, might as well get exactly what I want.

well the 14's should be out only a few months after the 2013 custom's debut and you'll probably have a greater color selection. orange appears to be available and i'm sure there'll be additional ones.
My Lambo was Red, Bentley Black so i wanted a different color too. Also have had a black interior on the last 5 cars i've owned (yawn) so I'm psyched to get sepia/tan for a change.

the tan/ peanut butter interior looks really good IMO and would work well with most exterior colors. Probably the interior I will chose.

By definition, when speaking of quantity, ton just means "a great quantity," not a specific number. Think of it this way though, ton is most often used as a unit of weight. Two or more vipers would be more than two tons, which would be sufficient to say that there are tons of vipers for sale.
