I didn't read the original post, but your first. Thought, no way, I have never heard of such a question. Then I read it, and sure as [******], my eyes don't decieve me.

I would use some imported french water myself.

Go to our local car wash - the swirl marks will give it character.

Kon: Getting it wet is easy, drying it is a different story. It sure helps to have access to compressed air in the drying process. Glad to hear you renjoying your new ride. Be careful and have fun.

Konstantin,

Start out with a clean bucket & sponge & wash from the top of the car down. I use a sponge type long handled toilet bowl brush to clean inside the wheel wells. I also use a creeper to wash under the front & rear of the car. I use compressed air to blow the water out of the mirrors. I drilled a couple of small holes in the bottom of the mirrors which helps to drain the water out also. After drying the car off dry the door jambs & open the hood & dry under there too. As far as what water to use I have to agree with Dimitrios on this one, Poland Spring seems to work best, however Aquafina will work in a pinch.

sponge- If you want to use a sponge, go to you local Paint Store and ask for a sea sponge. All natural and super soft, it makes a big difference. But be prepared to pay up to $20.

I use H2O water here. I don't know if that is available in your area though. Let me know if you are interested in buying some of mine, and I can ship it to you.

You guys should really consider artesian water instead of spring (surface water is ideal).

And out west maybe Jim Beam, the Oghalla aquifer is dropping by the day.

Seriously, if you can afford it get a crspotless for your water. For your polish use Zaino. If you use the crspotless system you can actually skip the drying and it will dry spot free. I think it worked out to about 25 to 35 cents a gallon if I remember but you really only need to use it for your final rinse. I think one of the members on here Matt uses it, maybe he can chime in and tell you how he likes it.

Washing a Viper is in itself a Goofy idea. It will just get dirty again when you drive it (especially the wheels). Whats the sense?

Best to let it age naturally and develope a patina that collectors will value in the future.

I've got to take this one step further.
I've got the best stuff for cleaning the outside surface of a car and would never use anything else. All my buddies use this wonder fluid too. It's so clear you can see right through it with only the smallest amount of light diffraction (for a better shine, you know.) It has been tested by government officials and guaranteed to be pure and completely non-toxic. At the risk of sounding like a profiteer, I can ship you as much as you like for the low, low, price of just...BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE! I'll throw in the special applicator that allows you to control the placement and amount of this wonder fluid. Just add $6.95 each for shipping and handling and sign over your title.

Poor sod. Ask a simple Q get a simple answer. LOL!
Just wash it like you washed whatever you had before except 10 times more carefully. Use a CLEAN sponge, a real one is best, like was mentioned previously. Dry with a clean, new, real skin chamois. If your going to wax, there are lots of posts here and elsewhere to help (or hinder) that process.
Good luck, from one recent GTS purchaser to another!
