Well, I took myself and my girlfriend to our prom on Friday night, I don't even need to say how driving the Viper was the highlight of the night but it definately was. The whole point of this post is basically for my impressions of driving the car, so here's what I think. For an 18 year old kid, being entrusted with my dad's 96 GTS meant the world to me, It really made me feel responsible in my father's eyes. About drving the car, it takes some getting used to, just don't rev too high when stating off because the clutch can be tricky, especially when driving with dressy Dr. Martin shoes that are really W I D E. Secondly I think that the people that wreck these cars in the first couple days of ownership were definately being stupid. I found that even driving the car under the speed limit was just as much a blast as going over it. The funny thing is, is that I didn't even feel compelled to push the car at all ESPECIALLY when accelerating, because I know that that is where the car can really get away from you. The night went off without a hitch and the car returned in the same condition as it had left my house, hopefully guarenteeing that I get to drive it again. My dad has intentions to sign myself and him up for a driving school this summer because you can never be too good a driver. This all happens again next weekend when I go to my girlfriends prom in my Uncles 94 RT/10.
