Some one makes after market tow hooks for the Viper that bolt on in the front (through the grill) and in the rear.

if you are looking for the best way to trailer your car you should get the nylon ratchet straps that go around the wheels, no damage and very secure.

Archer Racing - make sure you get the longer front tow eye that sticks out far enough to put a rope / strap through. We had bought our first set from Bobby Archer (they were red) and they were not long enough.

New ones, Archer Racing, are black. Bolt on to existing frame face plate - Will still bend the frame horn bracket if you get towed out of a gravel trap. (Personal experience..., probably not as bad to use to load into a trailer or towing a broken car. The gravel up to the axles was a killer - lotta drag...

)

Use THE "T HOOK", part number 50240-10, made by M&R Products, Div. of A.S.T.S., Inc. Vineland, NJ 08360. they are sold at trailer retail stores. The hook fits into car frame slots made for securing cars. The Viper slots(4) are located on each frame rail front and rear. The T Hook is 4" long, it has a T on one end that goes into the frame and a oval on the other end that accepts a tie down hook. Very easy to use and Nothing to Weld or bolt! I bought my T Hooks from Orlander Trailer in San Jose, CA. price $7.50 each, 4 required.

Tow rigs, at track events, should have a couple of these hooks for towing Wood Chucks.

The "hooks" that fit the frame holes for tie-down are called "R" hooks. Got ours from Snappin' Turtle...1-800-TIE-DOWN...$6.00 apiece.

"Wood Chuck" hooks, I also have them. They are from Archer, the rear is welded and front? have to check if they are bolted or welded.
The "T Hook" main function is for tie down. But with no Archer tow hook will work the but facia damage may result depending on the tow rig line angle.

I have the Archer Racing tow hooks. They really help to load the car into an enclosed trailer with a winch. If you add a winch to your trailer, make sure you mount it about 9 inches off center of the floor to line up with the front tow hook.

Mark....you arelookingfor the hooks like the Ferrari 360 Challenge has mounted on the front and rear,right? The front swives and the rear is stationary.I looked into it this last Feb and Ferrari will not sell unless you have a 360 Challenge car. Besides, it would defenately not fit our Vipers since they will have different hard points.

The rear tow hook if you get that from Archer bolts through one of the two rear frame areas on the bottom just before it angles up. This one is not as easy to install as the front which uses some pre existing bolts, since drilling the holes will be required. They provide the necessary hardware to bolt it down.
