This gives me a little hope that they are not going to chop and sell Chrysler. This also gives me hope that the "general public's cars (Mini Van, 300C,ect) are going to be good cars.

However, We may see the end of the viper or it could turn out to be a monster.

Chrysler is working on two Twin Turbo V-10's. One regular output and one "High output".

Exactly. More money AND no responsiblity for reporting quarterly numbers to the public and the ability to manage the business with a more long-term vision than 3 month blocks.

This is why I do it...more money, more responsiblity and run my own show without having SEC quarterly representations to fret over, whiney stockholders and limited budgets. Don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with being an exec in a public company. But in some private firms there's an Entrepreneurial spirit (and funding) that's too good to ignore. I know many here are worred about Chrysler being chopped up and sold...but there's also an opportunity to turn Chrysler around and go public again down the road in 3-5 years. Why hire top talent only to chop up the company? Hmm...
