great...I already have a problem with the srt-10...brand new car and the damn back trunk doesn't close...I gotta slam the crap outta it about 10 times for it to lock. (I actaully started driving with it still open becuase I thought it was closed after hitting it so damn hard how could it not be  Does anyoen know if the latch is defective? The trunk also doesn't pop up at all when I hit the trunk release...I can hear it open but it just sits there. Any ideas? (car has less then 67 kms on it)

Mine shuts very hard almost like you have to slam it.More so when top is down then up.I just figured it has to do with it being some what air tight.Like when a car is new when you try to shut the door and it doesn't but if you put the window down just alittle it shuts easily just my .02

I am always catching hell for zinging dodge on the shoddy quality of their "super car", but the number of problems reported on these forums with brand-new, limited-build 85k cars is UNF**KING BIELEVABLE! Are Vipers built by sadistic, one-armed, blind morons or what?

From what I can see of the components (from when my brand-new Viper was torn down for repairs), there are quality components and the design seems adequate.

So what's the problem? How can a car that looks so good, and have that much power and potential, be built to such shoddy standards?

Sorry for de-railing the thread, but Viper owners really need to start putting pressure on dodge to bring the quality up on these cars.

The things are starting to become something of an embarrassment!
