John's 1995 Venom 550
Enthusiast
I had a post a few months ago that my Venom 550 was only getting 425rwhp at that time. I call Hennessey for answers. He stated that when I put in the BTRviper nitrous system I used colder plugs, and he as well as BTRviper recommend putting the stock Champions back in. John stated the the Gen 1 cars were averaging 460-490rwhp on the dyno and Gen 2 cars were averaging about 15rwhp more with the Venon 550 package.
I put the stock plugs back in, and also put on the SVSi cool air induction system (larger air box, tubes, and throttle bodies) and re-dynoed the car.
I did two runs with the best being 475rwhp, a 50rwhp difference.
I know the induction system helped, but I think their advice on staying with stock plugs definitely helped.
Has anyone else tried different plugs only to come back to the stock plugs later because they worked the best?
Thanks guys,
John
