Hi,

Sorry for my bad english, I'm a french guy.

Last August, I have bought Brembo big brake kit for my SRT-10 for the front : 6-piston and 15 inches rotors. Thanks to JonB (Partsrack) ;)

This kit fits on factory SRT wheels, normally ?

But my mechanic have a big problem. After having installed this kit, he can't put the front wheel on my car. He doesn't understand why ?

Help me please :omg::omg:

I have a SRT-10 Convertible 2006, with factory wheels (18" front).

When my mechanic put the front wheel on the car, a small part in the interior of the wheel (near spoke) rub the 6-piston.

I'll try to take some pictures tomorrow.

Brembo USA says it should fit SRT with OE 5-spoke SRT wheels just fine.. PM me.

What is the issue , diameter or the offset ? Did you get spacers to bring the OEM wheels out further to clear the calipers ?

Not diameter, just offset. I need 3-4 mm more. I check the spacers with my mechanic tomorrow morning (it's 9 pm in France now).

Someone on this forum has already install this kit for his Viper SRT ?

It's not the install issue finally.

I see with Jon B. This kit is officially fits on any Gen 3.

But for Brembo, "some of the stock 18" wheels might not clear" :mad:

(I have 10-spoke wheels).

Apparently, I need wheels spacer (only for front) to use this kit. I check with my mechanic tomorrow morning but probably 1/4" spacer for clearance.

I'm afraid of technical issue, specially on the track. What do you think ?

P.S. : Thanks to Jon B to send to me the spacer no charge. But I'm very disappointed. I spend more $3000 and it's not ok. :mad:

Grrrr :mad:

I spoke with my mechanic this morning :mad:

Because 10-spoke wheels is curved in the interior, it's impossible to use a wheels spacers (I must use a too big wheels spacers).

So I must buy a new wheels 5-spoke. :mad::mad:

Why would somebody want to change the SRT-10 brakes? :dunno:

Bon jour! Those Brembo big brakes are awesome. The SRT is still heavy, and the more brakes under it the better for track use. You will want a spare set of wheels for the track anyway. Not sure I would go with OEM 5 spokes. Forgeline, BBS and other 'track wheels' are better. As far as spacers, use them if you can, the wider the stance the better for the track. There are better pads than Brembo out there for the SRT. Match the pads to the tires you use. Have fun and enjoy your SRT.

I saw the Brembo template for this kit.

And it's impossible to use 18" wheels in the front (need 17,6 " for interior diameter for this kit).

So, 19" required. And I don't want change the size of my wheels.

I hope Jon B will have a good solution for me.

I saw with Jon B. He made a mistake. This Brembo big brake kit fits only on 19" and more and not 18".

I must send the all package to him.

Jon B will refund me. Thanks for his professionalism ;)

15 inch is massive on front, I bet it would've looked great as well...
