While parked in a Senior center in an upscale neighborhood of all places- someone rips the whole passenger side mirror right off the car!! It appears that they didn't do anything else, but I just can't believe the mentality of people. Some ******* needs a good b*tch slapping

I guess I got off rather lucky then. This weekend I took a ride out to our local Air Force Base to watch our Annual Air Show. It was 75 out so I went top and window less. As I pulled in to park I guess I stole the show for a moment, all of the Military Personel just loved it and commented over and over I even got a few salutes (I am not even in the Military.) Well we went in and enjoyed the show. We waited for about 4 hours for the close of the show for the Thunderbirds (led by one of our very own locals in the #1 Plane) to perform. As I arrived back to my own cockpit I noticed that someone has SPIT in my seat, on the windshield, and on the door. Some As*h*les need to just be shot. Funny thing when one of the Military guys saw me wiping something from my seat he came over and realized what had happened and told me that if he had seen who did it he would have strapped their a** to that 21 ton bomb that we just tested and dropped it on Iraq. :D

It was my grandma in a speeding wheel chair. She drinks too much ***** and gets a little rowdy.

That ***** man.

At least you can replace the mirror with one from a Dodge Stealth. I think the stealth mirror is the same except ITS HEATED!!

sorry to hear about it man...

Just so you guys know, I sell 3000GT and Stealth parts... and I just HAPPEN to have a pair of 3000GT Mirrors. color is Pearl White, so they need to be painted. If you claim it on insurance, I can save you LOTS compared to a dealer, and you keep the rest...

(for anyone in question, YES, they are the same mirrors. 3000GT VR-4 and Stealth TT mirrors are heated however)

Senior center? It was probably a resident that sneaked out for a Sunday stroll. lol I guess you don't really feel like laughing at the moment, but I hope you see the humor in it. At least it's just a mirror, right?

How did they manage to break the mirror off without hurting the door or the bracket? If you can literally just change out the mirror and have it as good as new... It could be much worse. This type of thing is why I am very paranoid about parking the car anywhere.

NCVCA- yep, you are correct... upon closer comparison, that little bottom base section is taller on the viper. depending if they took that with the mirror, SSUNBURN may only need the shell though.

My guess is that some punk kid just wanted a trophy to show to his friends. At least he was strong enough to pull it clean off so there was no other damage.

I am glad that I dropped my comprehensive deductable all the way down to $100. I just had a feeling that some little sh*ts would want to spoil my fun! With all the vandalism our cars seem to attract I would advise others to consider doing the same.

On a side note-- at least I was lucky enough that my car was not one of the group that got paint balled at the Viper vs. Viper designated hotel last weekend- that would have surely sucked a lot worse. Cane the b*stards I say

Ssunburn, when you go to South Coast Plaza, park in the structure, right on the bottom level near the Costa Mesa Police sub-station. There is a camera there, that I park right under. Nothing like having a tape of the incident. At at the very least, that parking area will discourage most little weanies from bothering your snake.

Dear FRED:

Yes, I love the SL. Out of all the cars in its category like the Lexus SC430, BMW Z8, Porsche 911, etc, it is the best choice. The ones above were missing quite a bit in general. The Z8 was weird all together, the Lexus was just horrible, and the 911 was both really small and not worth the price tag. :( Plus Porsche's, at least out here are a dime a dozen. In my opinion the SL is not worth the MSRP but getting a deal is a different story. I like the SL because I do not like seeing many of the same cars on the road. That is why I got the Viper as well. :D LOL! It is a great car that I drive everyday. I have been driving the Viper a lot since I got it but he SL is just powerful and sleek looking. That is what I love about the car; not to mention it is very comfortable for a sports car with all the options that you could imagine. It is a great car that I love but I think I will be getting rid of mine in June or so and will use the Viper as the everyday driver from then on. Maybe I will get a Jeep Cherokee or Honda Prelude to use for the winter. I still have several months to think about it. What is the asking price for the SL you are looking at? Also any mileage on it? What color combo?

Talk to you soon

Keith
