Vband connector removal question

I loosened my Vband clamp at the xmanifold recently, thinking it would just slip off easily once the nut was backed off a ways, but the clamp stayed firmly in place. Are they are on there THAT tight or does removal of the Vband clamp come easier once the tension is taken out of the xsystem by say ..loosening/removing the rubber clamp where the exhaust turns to go under the sidesills? The easiest way I've found to remove these clamps is to completely loosen the "T" bolt nut, unhook the "T" bolt from the clamp and pry the "V" portion of the clamp away from the flange with a screw driver. Sometimes they can be a bear to remove...

Seems so. I had the nut backed way off, and the T still didn't want to come over the top. I'm going to be making some 'off-road' ex mods soon, and I'll give it a better effort then. Thanks Larry
