The 97 GTS I just bought has a VEC1 currently in it, however I don't believe anything is connected but the air/fuel gauge. What is a better tool to get more power out of the car? Reconnect the VEC1 or buy a SCT Tuner and have a tune emailed to me? The car has belanger headers, high flow cats, belanger exhaust, smooth tubes, K&N, magnacore wires, what do these cars usually dyno with these sort of mods? I think I may do 3.55s at some point but other than that I will leave it alone (I hope).

Answered my own question, looks like I will go with the SCT, what shops do people go to now that DC has closed up shop? Is a dyno tune necessary for a car with my mods or can I just go with a mail order tune? Was thinking of having Roe Racing send me a tune.

Any estimate on what sort of HP a viper with Belanger headers, high flow cats, exhaust, smooth tubes, K&N, Magnacore wires and a SCT tune should make? Car is a 97 GTS

Generally a setup like that will see 450-475 at the wheels... but it all goes out the window comparing one dyno to another dyno.
