I initiate a nod or thumbs up to the driver of any performance or specialty car that catches my attention, usually followed by the fangs sign. I also wave back followed by the fangs to all who initiate a wave. Porsche drivers never wave (and I ignore them too), Vette owners seldom - even if I initiate the contact. I experience far more acknowledgements with tuners and low-riders than with Corvettes. I don't understand why because I've cruised with Corvette clubs and generally found the owners to be friendly, down to earth folks, far less pretentious and guarded than Viper owners.
It's very silly and quite childish to be a snob over what car you drive.True car guys appreciate all good looking cars and most wave to me when we pass. It's a lot more fun to enjoy the friendliness and comraderie of true muscle or sports car buffs than to put yourself high on a pedestal only for egotistical reasons. I personally usually give a thumbs up when i pass a sharp looking ride no matter the make.If the owner is a snob, well he is the loser. I get so many compliments about the GTS and especially my 94 rt/10. They are sharp machines and are noticed.
