I ran with him on Ocean Parkway that day, where this was filmed.
From a roll at about 80, with me going WOT he went by me like I was parked. Car is incredible. Nothing can touch it.

He was racing someone? I thought he was just blowing past people for fun. I did not see any of the other cars even try to take off or maybe the GT is just that fast.

Tiger, take a closer listen to that video....Bottom line is that Ford GT is just that fast....that 350 Z actually made a pathetic attempt to take the GT, but was utterly embarressed.......you can tell if you listen to the throttle/exhaust...as soon as the 350Z hits throttle(which you can hear the 6 ****** w/ charger), the Ford GT hits the skinny on on the right an that was all she wrote cuz!!!!!!!!!!!! :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

I totally forgot about the beginning race. I dismissed it because he was the one filming and I thought they were joking. You are right, that car stood NO chance!

That 350Z w/ Supercharger is probably putting down mid 300's to the ground. I'm sure he knew he didn't have a chance against even a stock GT, but that wouldn't stop me from trying just to see the GT work. That thing is definitely impressive.

Captree is the equivalent to California's Crystal Cove car show every weekend. Captree state park has a huge parking lot that tons of car guys meet at every weekend to display their cars and meet up with friends. A few weekends ago a gentlemen in a black Ford GT showed up and had just gotten it twin turboed. Upon leaving Captree, he made a video of him racing other vehicles and at one point hitting 220 MPH. According to some people, the next weekend, he was arrested for speeding while leaving Captree and got caught at 226 MPH. From what I have read, he denies all involvement but people have drawn conclusions, especially since as soon as this story got loose, all the videos were taken off. Guess it is up to you to decide what you believe.

Some corrections:
The GT is Blue with white stripes.

He didn't make the video, someone else did. He didn't post it on the net either, and no doubt was very unhappy it got so much play.
No one has confirmed he was arrested, and no one mentioned that at all last Sunday there. That is probably bullshiit.

He never hit 220, it was 205 (if that matters)

Thanks Jon. I think that whenever someone makes a video or allows one to be made when you are going that fast, it is kinda common sense that it can end up on the internet but maybe just me. Too fast for me even on a track. I think I would be scared like none other but don't tell anyone. :D

Thanks very much. I've seen a few videos of these cars, including Heffner's. Heffner's creation sounds amazing. It's really more of a credit to FORD in building such a bullet proof car to begin with. I'm not a FORD fan, but they hit the nail on the head with that car. It's the only super car I know of, that a cheap pulley and exhaust can extract huge power gains.
