Re: VIPAIR™ Dyno Results on 99 RT 16 RWHP!!

Well it was a long day. I rented the track with some other Viper guys and friends. My ONLY mods are smooth tubes/filters/VIPAIR.
CCW drag setup.

Stock half shafts (I can't believe they held up)
Stock catback/stock headers etc...

I ran a string of consistant 11.50's. My previous best before CCW's and Vipair was 12.20.

Thats 7 tenths :)

I did not have my stock lid to swap back from the VIPAIR, I left it at home. Anyway these are good results from two mods in my opinion..

Thanks,
Jason

There was real info. You must have missed it in the fray.

The results all came back that there was no gain.

  Please quote this "real" info and these gainless results,if i am not mistaken the vipair was never even put on, it was just assumed that it would not work due to inconsistant Dyno #s on the test day.Kind of ironic considering the demand for "proven" not theoretical results which have plagued this never ending thread. But please correct me if i am wrong......

Excuse me?

Selective memory?

My first dyno pulls were with and without Vipair, all showing no gains.

Now how about showing us some of your dyno tests that YOU have done? I mean the maker of Vipair must have his own tests data to show any sort of results from his invention? Right?

So here is your correction YOU are wrong. :2tu:

Thanks for the data,
When are you going to test the Vipair?

I think the dyno testing thart Russ did was as well done as any side by side test could be. Result... no improvement.

The temperature comparisons that were made, showing the inside the box temp is the same as outside the car, were not side by side. They did show that the Vipair was not needed in order to get ambient air temp inside the box.

Now for the SOTP claims, I have heard no reports that the Vipair made any SOTP improvement near the "50 RWHP" the sellers claimed.

A quarter mile series done with and without Vipair would be interesting. There are many things that could enter into the ET and MPH of any given run. It would need to be done very carefully for the results to be scientific.

I know that many people think that scientific testing is a waste of time. Many people think this device is so inexpensive that they want one even if it only might work.

Those people can buy the product on faith. They can suspend disbelief and bolt it on just because it look's ****. The JC Whitny catalog has many miracle products that you can buy with a 100% money back pledge. That magnetic fuel atomizer look's good. Go for it.

Eddy,

Do you need me to post the definition of denial again? Seems like you just keep falling back into it.

Those graphs would be good evidence of increased performance on a dyno if we knew how they were done.
The second chart shows runs #5 and #7. What did the other runs look like.
How did the test runs with no intake change overlay?

Look guys,
You obviously developed the Vipair with no dyno testing or intake pressure or temp testing.
If you had done the R&D you would have put it out long ago.

Why don't you just say something like this,
"Vipair is much like the device the racing Vipers use to improve their intake. It might help you too."

I couldn't argue with that statement.

If you are going to quote numbers that others send to you, you are going to have to quote Russ's numbers too.

96 R/T 10,
I'll bet if you bump this 100 times you can move it out to five or six more pages.
The problem is, if you do that it makes it a little more difficult for the people, who are foolish enough to be interested in this thread, to read what has been said.

I'm hinting that perhaps you should not do that. I have a feeling that you will do it lots more just to show me how little you care.

Now why don't you go back and delete all that?

Just in case you feel like being polite, let me thank you in advance.

Oh, ok Joe. I'll stop here, but the bickering back and forth is really unnecessary. We are all Viper freaks here with our own opinions and should not get too hot and heavy over something this small, but I digress!

Re: VIPAIR™ Dyno Results on 99 RT 16 RWHP!!

Does anyone remember what this thread was about?

Allow me to start from the beginning.

First there was this explosion of light

then all these atoms were formed together to create land mass, water, air etc,

First there were fishes and birds but then along came the dinosaurs

Vipair of course came along much later, but the origins go back to the time when men were men and little green plasma crawleys from Alpha Centuri were little green plasma crawleys from Alpha Centuri.

The men found that chasing the big dinosaurs was hard work, and they would run out of breath. Someone found that by flaring their nostril to allow more air in, they could last longer - and so the first air scoops began to appear as nose scoops fitted into each nostril.

Nostril flaring became an art form but was aided by the fact they had large fingers. And the bonus was that finger food could sometimes be found during the flaring process. Once flared, simple air scoops were made from dried poop carefully molded and sun dried, and then painted to reflect their standing in the community.

As winter would set in, the men discovered that they could run faster and further, and so they postulated "Uggh, bwarga, flatulator" which was their way of saying that colder was better - so they began cooling their nozzle scoops by wetting them.

This wetting cooled the air as it passed over the water droplets - or snot as they called it, and packed more air into the hungry nozzles. After extended use however, the scoops would begin to rehydrate and became rather putrid. Hence they became known as RipeAir units...

however, it was hard to talk properly with a scoop up each nostril and the sound came out more like Vipair....

which brings us down to the wonderful high technology we have today named in memory of the great founding fathers of cold nozzle air.

The end....

but I bet it isn't :D
