Two men whose car crashed and burst into flames on Interstate 664 this morning were taken to a hospital along with a man who stopped to help them.
The crash happened shortly before 1 a.m. near Bowers Hill, state police dispatchers confirmed.
The two men were in a Dodge Viper that left the road, hit a tree and caught fire, state police told WVEC-TV this morning. A tractor-trailer driver and another man spotted the flaming vehicle and stopped to help.
The tractor-trailer driver grabbed a fire extinguisher and kept the flames from spreading while the other man pulled the men out of the car, a trooper told the TV station.
The two men suffered injuries that weren’t considered life-threatening and were taken to a hospital, according to the station. The man who pulled them out of the vehicle also suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The tractor-trailer driver wasn’t injured.
No other details about the crash were available shortly after 5 a.m.
