Wondering what everyone thinks would be the best Viper for autocross...in a stock class...which means mod-wise, you can only do:
stock width/diameter wheels within 1/4" offset
Any dot-approved rubber (Hoosier A6/Kumho V710) that'll fit those wheels
shocks with up to 2 external adjustments
front swaybar (no change to rear)
exhaust behind the cat
intake element (the filter, not the plumbing)
alignment (using factory approved methods/parts)
if I didn't list it, assume you can't do it legally
Given that, is there a particular model/year you think would be best? Given my limited knowledge, there doesn't seem to be much difference across the years/generations that would matter a lot. Weight is huge and published curb weights don't seem to vary much across the various models. Align-ability could matter too...is there much difference in max neg camber available across the years/models? Is any model ride-height adjustable from the factory (ACR?).
Thanks for the help...purchase is many months off, and I'm not settled on a Viper, but I'm intrigued...
