$1200 each year, full coverage with State Farm

29, no tickets or wrecks, married. Multi car discounts help too...

That's crazy that the Viper is the most expensive to insure.

Why would anyone have full coverage on a super-bike? You wreck, you probably aren't too worried about the replacement cost of your ride....

State Farm, 96 GTS full coverage. Was quoted $311 every six, came in at $365, but I'm old 44. $100 comp, $500 collision. Limit to 7,000 miles a year. Almost same cost as my F150

Living in Brooklyn may have had a bit to do with it.

It has everything to do with it. Theft and insurance fraud are two things that Brooklyn excels at :( ...2003 has been a hell of a year for me..Got the Q and the C5 stolen last year  . Liability on the Q only :( ... Thats why we have the highest insurance rates on the east..No more nice cars for now...Ive made up my mind Im gonna head south hopefully in the next year....Seems you guys got the good life down there......
New Jersey is the highest place to insure vehicles in the U.S. I believe N.Y. is second.

What the hell? Why so much? I pay a little less than $200 per year full coverage on my '03 R1 and I'm 30.

State Farm $1150.00 per year. State Farm 2004 C-5 1680.00
per year. Even when new the Viper has always been cheaper to insure at almost double the value of the Vette I owned at that time.

I highly doubt it. Maybe NJ state vs. NY state on average NJ is higher, but Brooklyn, NY is INSANE!!!

I paid $6500 (not a typo) a year for my C5 when I just got it

. I was 24, clean record.
It was hard to find anybody who wanted to insure it at all.

BTW: I think Progressive must be the worst ins. comp for sports cars or something.
They quoted me 24 thousand dollars a year that same time LOL. I couldn't stop laughing over the phone…..

I have USAA (United Services Automobile Association) and I pay $1100 and change per year. I have full coverage, I'm over 30 and have multiple cars which give me a discount too. It's a pretty good company but they have requirements for becoming a member. It use to be open only for military and some Federal law enforcement Agencies, now I think they are more flexible. For those interested you may want to surf their site. Additionally, they offer home owners and renters insurance. By the way, every year I typically receive a dividend check around Christmas, anywhere between $100-400. Sorry for sounding like a commercial.

I had Allstate in Michigan, $1600/year, full coverage. $1100 if driven (Mar/April - Sept/Oct), $500 for liability while parked in the garage for storage. It was basically a 6mth full / 6mth liabilty. Bought the car new in March 2003 (6 miles), parked it for the winter with 6700 miles. Allstate has been great to me. I just moved to Connecticut, so I'm expecting an increase this spring. I'm sticking with Allstate until someone proves they have something better. Price isn't the only factor, I drive my car and want protection.

Brooklyn....Parked on the street. Stole it from right infront of my building...Security camaras etc and no one saw anything  ..Still havent heard anything about the Q or the Vette...Both probably parted out soon after they were stolen...No garage..I know...I know....What was I thinking...Well the first 3 weeks it was fine :)

Unlike where alot of you live, C5's are very rare in my part of Brooklyn...Not a popular car..So I thought It'd be fine....

Save money by having more cars than licensed drivers. The Viper then gets only occasional use. Allstate, $780/year.
