What I want to know is where can we get a "Viper Time" tee shirt? I thought that the employee who had one made and showed it off during the episode had a great idea. Perhaps someone can track him down and see if he protected it. If he did not, it would be a nice VCA item to sell. If he did, perhaps he would consent to its use by the VCA.

When I was interviewed/filmed at VOI 11, the Nat Geo staff told me that part of the program was going to dedicated to the "Viper Nation". And that we, the car owners were by far more down to earth and unpretentious compared to other car marques, and they wanted to show that. But it was more of a documentary type program. I happy for my 9 seconds of fame.:D

Great show!!! But come on guys and gals let's get a standard Uniform!!!
Very true and compared to the Maserati plant right before this show, they looked like prisoners on a work break. The front facia was shown being installed by two people while the unit was just sort of flopping around where the Maserati unit had an arm and very carefully installed. Guess thats why I had to have touch ups on my new ACR. I loved the part where the Maserati factory hires outside NON Maserati employees to give a final thorough check after the cars have been road tested, before letting them be shipped.

Like Kala, technology failed me as well. I watched it, but don't have a copy. If its legal for me to ask if anyone else potentially has a copy that allegedly may or may not be mailed to someone, I am possibly interested. If it is not legal, you never saw this post.

Hmmm....during the Maserati "Ultimate Factories", I didn't see a single owner talking about their vehicle.
Nor did I see a group of the cars together in a single location.

What I did see, however, was open engines (no intake/exhaust coverings) and bare metal body panels left to the elements. On a $130,000 car? Really?
AND....did anyone else notice how the paint on the nose cone didn't match the paint of the body? I was very surprised to find out the nose cone on the Maserati was plastic.

Ralph, D!ck and Herb were awesome. The only thing missing was a nice decanter of Jack Daniel's! :)
I'd work for any of those guys in a split-second. Possibly even pro-bono. :D

I'm not sure about the uniform thing.
For something like a prison, it's a good idea. When you're building a hot rod or a race car, I think you want individuality and personality as traits of the vehicle.
I know I sureashell do.

Personally, I could care less what our Viper builders wear or don't wear when building our cars. They could build them in the **** for all I care... LOL

We're not some Italian sheep, we're the Imported from Detroit black sheep :headbang:

My boyz, wife & I enjoyed watching the Viper Factory in action. Winkles & Gilles were great spokesmen and kept it real!

Well, back to the Garage to port a set of Gen 4 cylinder heads :2tu:

Emidio {Emilio} is one of the few CAAP guys who does own a Viper, {and so does his brother.} He did those Viper skull-caps too. And more! I think he just had the shirt made up, not 'protected.' But I have a call in to him. I suspect he used one of the CAAP Store vendors. I think he is building the Chrysler 200 now. "Imported From Detroit"

Ralph, Dick, Herb, Mike, Emidio, Matt, et-al did a great job! Enyojable product throughout. Proud to claim Ralph as "our CEO" when he talked about his emotional and physiological reactions to the possible loss of Viper. YOU GOTTA BELIEVE in this guy. And Herb sure made a LOT of tire smoke in that rare Anaconda!

Not to forget our own Steve911 who did our Rep proud, and had a greater impact than '9 sec'.... seemed like more, in several clips. GOOD JOB STEVE911. But you look almost as old as ME!

It was fun to note that many of the cars only APPEARED completed, since they were mostly ACRs and -Xs /motors that had yet to visit Prefix. Not sure I liked the Leggo analogy, but it worked...

I think retiree Kenny Bott was a moving force that helped inspire this film, after the Tommy Archer / Justin Bell film that was shot prior with Kenny. [Type in VIPER PLANT TOUR on YouTube.]

Great Job to all involved. Dick deserves a "Viper Emmy" ............. Every Gen 4 owner should certainly own this film

Enjoyed the heck out of the show. I could have used a little less of the burnouts and more content but all in all an enjoyable show.

Nevermind, question already answered. Great article in VCA Notes too, very much worth the read.

I was channel surfing and caught a glimpse of a guy loading a big 'ol diff into a frame and said to my wife, "Hey that's a Viper diff!" Of course she said,"calm down, what's a Viper diff?"
Anyway, I watched the rest of the show. Greatness!

I thought the show was extremely well made and hope they produce a DVD. I didn't like the Leggo reference either. Made the car sound like a toy. I just got off the dyno today with my new Paxton install and I can assure these cars ARE NOT TOYS!

I DVR'd the show and loved every minute of it.....I'll probably watch it again tonight! (and double-check the footage to see if my car made it in the background shots at our SLC track day)

The only comment I have is that somewhere between the factory water test and now my ACR seems to have sprung a leak or three....I believe I've fixed the hatch glass gasket, but now I have to figure out how water is getting around my doors.

Loved all the commentary (Ralph, Dick, Herb, Mike, Emidio, Matt, etc.) great job guys!

Regards,
Aaron

It was fun trying to figure out what cars were being built. Several ACR-X's were on the line. The only way I could tell was by the gas tank on one and the PS2's mounted on ACR rims.

Really Great Show!

But what a tease. I've been looking for a solid colored 09 Graphite Coupe and the whole show was about that Viper. I loved it. I never see them anywhere else.
