in 1991, what car did the Viper replace as the Pace Car for the Indy 500?

Do you know why?

I thought all 285 cars made in 92 could be any color you liked as long as it was RED. Yes Jeff is right, they made one as a development trial car in black. Also one in Green and Yellow.

Yo Jeff, was I right about the Black,Yellow,Green 92s I think that's why some sources say 282 were made for sale, the other 3 were trial cars or something like that. Whats your say.

There were several other 92's that were never sold. I have it in my db. Granger also posted somewhere the other 92's that didn't make it to a sales sheet

Hey Jeff.

I have an easy one. I bet Sam knows it for sure. Why did they change the name of the plant to CAAP.? And what did they change specifically?

Conner Avenue is really Conner Road and the plant would have been CRAP!

I had a feeling you knew the answer. When I have told people that, they think I'm making **** up. lol

It's in Maurice's book if I'm not mistaken. My 1st purchase prior to actually buying a Viper.

Good job.:2tu:

#VM01 had a 360 small block V8, #VM02(1990) had cast iron truck V-10

Yep. I always pick on the white Vipers for being the ONLY Viper to come with with a v-8. lol

BTW, that's also the car that had some Corvette parts.

Anybody know what the Viper project was originally called? It shared the name later with a never produced concept car and a Viper edition.
