VOI...and who is the best driver??????????

I know there is supposed to be at least one driver shootout between Tom (BTR) and ?????
How about this: One of the Viper dealerships or Dodge supply a Viper, everybody runs the same car two or three passes.
It would cost anywhere from $25 to $100 bucks to get in the competition. All the proceeds to be donated to the:
1. Viper (car being raced) owners favorite charity or
2. The winners favorite charity
A trophy for the winning time and the r/u time.
Viper owners or known car handlers only so that no damage will be done to the car. Of coarse it would be on radials and no more than a bolt-on or stock car. The winner gets to talk the smack and everybody else shuts up. My time behind the Viper wheel has been limited but I would be game to give it a shot. What do you guys think?

My money would be on Jamie Furman or Jason Heffner. Both have consistently run incredible times in stock Vipers (or any other car for that matter).

Maybe when Prashant and WingKing get home they can touch base with Dodge....there has got to be a buy back Viper out there somewhere. I would be good P/R for them are some dealership doing the charity thing.

Are maybe somebody could loan us a Viper to rag out....maybe somebody with TWO Vipers !!!!!!!!!!

Everybody knows Mike Brunton would win. He has the record with an 11.6 run in his STOCK GTS. No fun..... but if it happens I say donate the winnings to the driver.

Prashant & Wing King have not come to Bowling Green yet but will do so in the next week or so. I'm sure they'll both let you know when they arrive back.

I don't think I am the fastest - I think Jason Heffner has run an 11.5x in a stock car... but I think I can hold my own... and I have NO DOUBT that I can put a hurting on some of the folks with the big yappers.

You know, I don't think I can make VOI because I have to be in Europe during the event, but if someone was setting something up where we could run a stock GTS in the 1/4 for bragging rights, I would call the airline today, delay my flight, and drive down to the event and participate in the drag race, and fly out that night to Europe

. Even if it cost $100 or more to participate, I am in.

Come on - SOMEONE please make this happen! let's get Furman, Heffner, me, Welch, Levin, 1BadGTS, SMITH (are they the same guy? who knows!), SW, Albert, and whoever else is guilty of running their mouths and see what we can all do. Sound fair? Stock car... stock MXX3's or Pilots, well prepped track, and we'll see what we all got.

Just to avoid any barbs later from you-know-who, I will say that if someone can put this together, I MUST KNOW THIS WEEK! Otherwise I will not be able to change my plans and come to TN for the drag race. If someone can provide a stock car on stock tires that we can run, I will chip in my fair share of the cost, and I will come down - but I need to know by Friday if this is a go or not.

Wait, so now you are saying I removed the swaybars and added filters? WRONG! You are working WAY too hard to believe my car was HIGHLY MODIFIED. I even had the dyno sheet showing 414RWHP and 465RWTQ - maybe on the low side for a stock car... but you didn't belive that either. Don't forget the drag radials I didn't have either!

Hey, I'd rather be doing well in my OWN car than living in the shadow of another guy drives it!

That answer lies in the Viper Days events. Maybe the autocross events. In any case, I certainly want to know who is the best/fastest dragracer.
