V10 PWRD
Viper Owner
My son and I hopped on the Metro subway system at the Vienna, Va station and went down to the DC Convention Center where the 4 day Car Show was being held to introduce all the new models. Of course we looked for the Dodge display right off the bat and finally found it in a rear corner. The big "muscle" car display was a new Challenger! I found one of the flunky's with a Dodge badge on and point blank said to him "don't even tell me we came all this way and you don't have a new Viper on display!" This smart a@# says to me "Dodge quit making the Viper in 2008. That new little 2 seater electric car over there is Dodge's new answer to the Viper. It's faster and looks a little like it". I wasn't going to argue with this guy or tell him he was full of it so my son and I just thanked him and walked away very disappointed. Even my son knew this guy didn't know what he was talking about. Obviously they gave this guy a Dodge shirt and minimum wage to act like he knew what he was talking about. There were some nice cars displayed but you can sure notice the decline of Dodge/Chrysler. The show was kind of stale with very few concept cars. Best looking car there was a 2009 Rolls coupe with suicide doors. Only 428,000 bucks.
All we can do is keep supporting VCA and praying that the Viper line never dies but it sure doesn't look promising.
Had my car out today in this beautiful 65 degree weather and it still gives me the same feeling as always. There's nothing like that feeling driving a Viper.
Any near future get togethers going on in the NoVa area? Weather is getting better. Take care and have a great week!
