Wavetrac stub axle

Good day all,

I am a new GEN 3 owner. 2003 to be specific. I am considering a Wavetrac differential due to my diff being *****. My question is....are the Wavetrac stub axles the same as OEM? Is the unit plug and play for the most part? Thank you in advance for any information the group can provide

The stubs are not the same. The new wavetrack will come with new ones.

The difference in the stubs is how they are retained internally with the Wavetrac carrier - that part is different than OEM (where the grooves are for the circlips, and possibly the spline count). The external side where they connect to your OEM axles is the same.

The Wavetrac I ordered comes with stub axles. I ordered it from Vividracing out of Arizona. It was on sale. 200.00 off.

Be prepared to wait on the Wavetrac. I have been on back-order since April of this year (also ordered from Vividracing). If you plan to change the gear ratio to the 3.55 set up, I would suggest going through Unitrax for the complete parts needed - outstanding service! Wavetrac will only fabricate the diff's in batches of 20 or 25 - so when that request for orders is met, they will proceed with fabrication. Wavetrac's newest projection is middle to late January of 2025 (direct email from Wavetrac to me in November). However, this date has been constantly moved back since April. Best of luck waiting in line.

Thank you for the information. I have already purchased a 3.45 gear set. Where is Unitrax out of?
