This goes out to the new BODs and VCA Staff,
There is an apology out to Ralph, which rightly there should be. But what I think there needs to be more than anything is an apology to the members, both present and those removed/banned/etc, of the club. There were some wrongdoings going on that have hurt quite a few people. Those people/members need to be acknowledged. Some of these people were banned simply because they cared and spoke out. Some were rightly banned for the way they conducted themselves. But there can be no denial that some were banned for the wrong reason(s). I think it would go a long way to let these people know that they are missed and wanted back into the fold. If we are ever going to get this sorted/straightened out, we better start now before the hurt gets worse. This apology needs to be sincere and not just thrown out to appease them as well. I, myself, haven't met most of these people but I do feel their pain.
Some people will speak out simply because that is their makeup and they refuse to sit idley by while they see injustice happening. We should be thankful that those types are out there. They are the ones who brought these wrongdoings out in the open. So instead of punishing these people, we (the VCA) should be thanking them for having the courage to speak up.
Now on the other hand, we, the members of the VCA, owe it to the new *** to see what they can do to help get "our" club back on track. If they can do it, then we all win. If they can't and they gave it their all then at least the club tried. Let's don't give up without a fight! I can't speak for everyone on the ***, but I can say that Greg, our local President, has been trying extremely hard, to get our club headed in the right direction. All I can say to you all is "Let's give them a chance!". Voice your concerns and give them feedback both positive and negative.
And finally, I think that what we may need in this time of crisis is a new beginning. Would it be too difficult for us to have a reboot in the shape of a new website? We need a change to get us away from the familiar and the first thing we see when we log onto the VCA is this website. Let's start fresh and as such, let's start when we first logon. Just my two cents. And at todays value. that is about 2/10ths of a cent.
