What do you use to treat the rubber stripping? I now live in Phoenix and the stuff dries out here quicker than in MI. I recall a long time ago someone suggesting a GM product.

303 Aerospace Protectant is my choice. Others will chime in with theirs.

Silicone spray is another option.

It is, but be cautious with it. The sprays typically use acetone as the solvent carrier for the silicone oil which, before it evaporates, will rapidly attack (dissolve) plastic surfaces.
