Well, 2003\'s have gone to J Status!!!

As of this morning we had some of our customer's cars go to J status. This means the cars are built and in the warehouse awaiting shipping. Merry Christmas, Happy Hannakah, Kwanza grettings, etc., as I figure this should make quite a few folks happy? When a car goes to KZ , we will know they are being shipped.

No problem Steve, but this bodes well for deliveries to start very soon. When a car hits KZ , Santa won't be far behind!!!

Meanwhile, have all of us in CA continued to be unusually naughty (i.e., no SRT Santa for us), or have VINs started to be assigned to CA residents???

No VIN here? I am getting more excited about that GT idea though
as there won't be a Viper coupe untill 07' maybe.

I have even been looking at GT-40 Kits!

2charmed, If your waiting for a GT than from what i heard you will be waiting a while. The first year production run isn't very many cars and they are already spoken for. Sounded like just a couple of cars to get the media blitz going. Where did you get info on a coupe version of SRT?

Info on a Possible coupe is here on this site.

The GT should be availible before the SRT/ Coupe and yes it will
be more expensive, but it will be availible in a couple of years.

The Kit GT-40's are a real possibility for me as they would be less than the GT and the build quality of some of them seem pretty good.

Time will tell, but four or five years for a coupe (maybe) will be a long waite!

One more car went to J status this morning ( 12/17/2),but as of yet none of our SRT-10's have gone to the magical KZ status (shipped ). I will check again tommorrow morning,and I like Mr. Houss's comment that the news will be real soon! Thanks Joe!!

2charmed, I would hold off getting in deep with a kit car. They are never worth the money you have invested. If you have to have a GT-40 than wait it out and make a good friend with the local SVT dealer. The amazing part of that car is that the bodywork will be aluminum. When I looked at all the compound curves of the rear bodywork I couldn't believe that they were planning to make that aluminum. By the way, the rear end will be revised so that they meet crash standards. The feds are going to ruin the look. Goodby to the rear exhaust shown on the show car. Spoke to the lead engineer at a little presentation he gave in Chicago in August. Ex Viper guy. A racer and a hell of a nice guy.
