What a great weekend-got to play with Ferrari\'s w/pics
Went down to New Orleans this weekend to show my brother my Viper and see his
black Ferrari 328 he got for X-mas. I was letting him take the Viper out for a ride so he could see for himself what I kept bragging about . He got a call on his cell from a buddy to see if he wanted to go for a cruise. Off to the house to get the wives and met him at the local 'go juice' station
His friend had the red 308 and said the others would be there in a few-little did I know what was going to show up . This is what joined us:
We had a 308,a 328, a 550, a F-40, a M/B SLK (he left his Ferrari at home) and a 330 FRI
The 330 won the Grand Prix in 1962, the present owner saw it, loved it, bought it, and drives it on the streets of New Orleans . He said "cars are meant to be driven I don't care what they cost, if I can't drive it I don't want it" We cruised for almost 200 miles around the back roads, the leader (F-40)knew a nice assortment of roads, some curves some straight aways. Only time I saw the F-40 was when he stopped to let us catch up .I smoked the SLK, 308, 328 and could have passed the 330 but he knew where we going-I didn't. It sounded incredible!! These were a great group of car guys that appreciated all cars not just Ferrari's and the made me feel at home.
This drive, my first time to really open her up, makes me even more proud of what I have. Lots of cars cost more but the performance and looks of a Viper will run the rest down!
