so there i was in the gas station today, getting me a dr pepper. it has been a beautiful cool day all day. i have had cars windows down throughout the day. most of the snow is melted by now. the roads for the most part are dry. my VIPER is in pieces, and i have been thinking all day about how nice it would be to drive my viper.

as i am walking out with my soda, a friend of mine (Dr Penn), pulled into the gas station accross the street with his ROE supercharged FE! as always, I WAS SO EXCITED TO SEE A VIPER!! i jumped in my car, and quickly went accross the street to say hello.

we got to talking, and he wanted to see the work i have been doing to my car at my house. i said great, lets go!

as we were leaving, he GAVE ME THE KEYS TO HIS CAR! DAMN! that was my first ride in a supercharged car, and it was SWEET! the trip of course wasnt very long, but every second was heaven! a day doesnt get any better than THAT!

as i have always said, what an awesome group of people! THANK YOU DR PENN!! have an awesome day!!

would someone PLEASE get me a towel! :D

<< ....So have you made that call to Sean yet ???? >>

All the setups that i saw were awesome, esp seans. but joe barrett gave me a good deal on his SVS designed vortech system that i just couldnt pass up. the system is mostly installed now, and i am just waiting on them to take my car and do the final details and tune.

<< No greater feeling than being blown.. >>

LOL - very true adam! maybe i need to pay more attention next time though, because i just dont remeber hearing all the whistling and hissing like i heard today. :D

Big,

the same thing happened to me sometime back...except it was Doug Levin. I pulled up in my 1994 Rt/10 and Doug just finished supercharging his ACR, we were at the gas station and he tells me to take his keys and he would drive my car. I was like WHOA! What a heck of a guy...but I was really scared of driving his car back then. DLM is a stand up guy!

i still remember the first day i drove a viper ab. and i remember thinking the same thing - "I was like WHOA!". it was a ride that i have gotten comfortable with over the last couple years.

but today it felt like an entirely different car. it felt like the first day all over again with that supercharger in there. there was a new horsepower level, new noises, etc. you supercharged guys have said it in the past and are absolutely right - what an incredible feeling. i can not wait!!

Thats awesome! The closest I came to ever driving someone else's Viper was when I was at some dragraces for my 17th b-day and it was about 3 Vipers there. 1 of the owners let me sit in his white 96' RT/10 and handed me the keys and let me crank it up and rev it a few times. I didnt get to drive it any, but just revving it made that a birthday i'll never forget

Must be nice John, there is TONS of salt on the roads up here. I did see a Porsche today though. Don't know what year because they all look alike, covered in road salt as well. It looked terrible!

oh it was duane - it WAS! they do the salt down here too, and we need a good couple of rains to wash that away before we get too crazy. soon, very soon. :2tu:

BTW - for those who like pics, here is a pic of what we were looking at today.

it isnt the prettiest yet. still some welding and polishing to do, and want to get the valve covers and intake powdercoated yet. but it is getting there. if i can get my engine to look HALF as nice as AB's or Mark "Super Charged GTS" Cooper's engine, i will be pleased.

<< Viper owners are the coolest. >>

isnt that the TRUTH! i still enjoy reading the "what do you do for a living?" thread. what an amazing group of people, and like Dr Penn, so cool, and so down to earth.

we all bought our vipers, but i think what we really have bought, is an EXPERIENCE, havent we?
