Just wondering as some prices on used 02s with thousands of miles have been in some cases as much as high 60s or more even. I mean I like Vipers but I am not going to pay high 60s for a used one...

C5, An 02 FE with low mi for a starting NR bid of $49k and no interest? If I was looking for an 02, I'd be all over BIGBADCJ's FE. What are you looking for?

I got my 2002 Final Edition with 1300 miles for 58,900

I got so screwed. I paid $79K and it had over 2k miles on it from the owner of the dealership who never registered it in his name. I didn't even research the car... wasn't even planning on buying it... Just told my wife to go to Dodge to see if they had a Viper. Arggghhh.

eh, no big deal. I paid sticker too, though I picked mine up when they first came out, and no one knew there was so many "new" ones of all years still on the dealer floors- They just came out of hiding within a year or so. On the up side though, I gained a lot of friends at my dealership! Honestly, the perks that went along with paying sticker far outwiehged the possible savings. Free oil changes (yea, Mobil 1), warranty stuff no questions asked-(and THEN SOME!), any parts at employee pricing, etc, etc........

I am not a huge fan of red, that is the only thing holding me back, I agree it is a great deal.

I'd have been all over this one if in the market for a GTS:

2001 GTS, ACR, Sapphire, Stripes, 2655 miles, 90k original sticker - Low 60's.

Rocket...that is a good price for that ACR. Its not a steal but who cares...when you get into these price ranges...what does a few thousand really matter if its the car you really want.

Good luck C5 in the search!

I am not going to pay high 60s for a used one... do you think your going to get a new one for that? A dealer over here has a 02 FE NEW price $79,999. You might want to look into other years to get a better deal.

Well I would rather pay $80K for a new one than 69K for one with a few thousand miles if that is what you are asking...

Thanks Jim
I'm really hoping that I don't have to sell Ol'Yeller as I move further in to the building process. Right now I don't have to, but ya never know. That cash would go a long way!

That is one of only 49 built. I bought mine last November (my 3rd of this color combo but first ACR). I love the color! Mine had only 35 actual miles.

Hey C5....I am no longer into vettes , I had a couple, they are history , just like my old c5,c4, Let me give you some advice...FACT...If you pay $80.000 for a new one, vs...69k for a used one, as soon as you drive a "new one" off the dealers lot, it will be worth 69k....FACT

If you do not like our replys here ..go over to the twinky vette forum for better advice

I really get a kick ouy of your original post..........

I think it sounds like financial issues here......OR how much do you REALLY like Vipers???

I am really getting amused by all the price posts any more...

What a Joke anymore...This forum is our own worst enemy!!!

WE have ENOUGH tire kickers on this site...constantly "whittling" down the Value of the Vipers for their own benefit....

Oh, to answer your question...expect to pay...from 58K to 80K big ones if you care...

Maybe you could find one for less, but it will NOT be in great cond...

Or maybe an 02 for $35,000 yea, great deal, it will be "totaled"

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR....... FACT

:usa:

Good Luck, AND be sure to let us know when you do get a Viper

Actually I am waiting until I find the perfect car and I was curious as what a new Viper would cost as I wasn't sure, thus my reason for making the thread.

I am not trying to put Viper prices down, i will be willing to pay fair market price for my perfect car. I was just making a point that if an 02 GTS sold for 70K brand new, I am not going to pay 69 or 70K for it with 3000 miles as I have seen people asking.

I am new to the whole Viper scene and am just trying to learn as much as possible and I want to find a great car at a FAIR price, I am not looking to rip anyone off but I also am not willing to be ripped off, even for my dream car.

I've been trying to get in touch with the guy that was selling that 01 Sapphire ACR on eBay. I wasn't able to bid on it but if it's available, I'd buy it tomorrow. And I'd pay in the 60s for it.

The insurance totalled my 02 Graphite GTS last week so I'm looking for a replacement. I remember having a tough time deciding between the Sapphire and Graphite almost 18 months ago. Anybody know who's car that was?

Seriously looking to replace mine. $ talks and bull**** walks!
