Bees of course. Not often that you end up with two in the same place, so I figured I'd take a few pictures. Thanks to Rick (Mr Hemi Head) for the gracious use of his lift so that I could install the skip-shift disabler and inspect/clean the undercarriage of my new ACR.

Way cool on the synchronized bees, now let's have the details on how you disabled that stupid skip shift link, how hard was that to do?

How did your undercarriage look? Any signs of a previous accident or anything?

It looked REALLY good. It needed alot of cleaning, but everything looked good. We took diagonal measurements of several frame points, and everything looks square. There was one rear A-arm that looked conspicuously cleaner than its' counter part on the opposite side, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Piece of cake. It took about 5 minutes. You need This Part. The tranny in the C5 Corvette is the same as the Vipers (not sure about gear ratios, but the housing, etc is the same), so the "CAGS (Corvette Automatic Gear Selector) feature is identical.

It's just a simple connector bypass on the drivers side of the tranny. The skip-shift arrow will still light up, but the lock-out won't engage. Gotta love it.

Kcbean, thanks for the link. I've always wanted to disable it, but I've only seen the "Viper" version, which ofcourse came with the viper tax ($50). Time to pick this guy up!

Rick has a nice set up, I stopped by a year or two ago to check out his set up. It's great to see fellow Viper owners helping eachother out.

Been driving the car at all Rick?

Thanks John. I hate to see a Viper Brother newbe off to a bad start. Nothing is bent, broken or leaking on Kelly's car and it runs stong. Besides I wanted to see what a several thousnd dollar sport exhaust looked like. The sales person must have confused this car with another, looked stock to me. LOL

I suggested that Kelly contact you about paint work as I recall you had some color matching done.

I'm ashamed to admit this, maybe another 1000mi.on the clock since your visit.
