I asked the same question of everyone about a month or two ago, it should still be in the archives. There were a lot of responses.

Hey Snakecharmer:

Am an Insurance Claim Supervisor - been in the business about 15 years. Don't have a Viper yet, but have discussed the purchase of same with several VCA members including Bill P. Am still saving my pennies for that wonderful day when that gorgeous vehicle is parked in my driveway. It will happen.

Hello all,

I don't work. I collect welfare and survive on WIX checks for food. I siphon gas out of people's gas tanks so that I can fill up my Viper and drive it. I also visit this board at least two dozen times a day and take alot of notes when Jon B. speaks...

All I do is look at the stock market and cry. In my spare time I am the scapegoat for all of Mumford's sorry excuse for humor. When he is just a cry baby and whines how he can't get his car to go fast. Boo Hoo...

Snake Charmer:

I thought this might interest you. I'm the principal of a manufacturers rep agency (electrical). We do a considerable amount of business with cell tower contractors. I am a registered engineer and specialize in lightning protection and site grounding/bonding. We aid the consultants in our area with grounding, surge and overall protection.

I bought a 94 RT10 with 7800 miles on it in August. The Viper experience has been unique and indeed a form of relaxation therapy. I have added a new stereo/cd changer, speakers, smooth tubes/K&N's, Purner wheels/tires, and hard windows . I will have Bellanger headers on in two-three weeks and will will have 3:55 gears in by spring time.

Cordially

I probably have the most boring job of all these posts, I am CEO (for 21 years) of one of the largests adult video production & distribution corporations in the U.S. (yes I hire all the talent and am there for the shoots). As a matter of fact I am thinking of starting a new line of videos & DVDs based around exotic cars, snakes would be a good start.

I am a pornstar!!! Heh heh, sorry, couldn't help it after Ron's post.

Actually, I'm a mixed signal design engineer. I did ASICS at the start of my career, but I'm doing standard product stuff now. My specialty is high speed SONET tranceivers. The chips I design are part of what drives the internet. They are also what makes the internet go faster when everyone screams for more bandwidth. Any engineers out there need a job in San Diego? We are having a hell of a time finding design engineers. The shortage of engineers means I have to work more too. The demand is soooo high in this industry that I find myself constantly working mass overtime.

Seriously, I wish I had the fortitude, the initiative and the knowledge of business that all you business owners possess. Takes guts and I have a lot of admiration for you all.

Hey Snakecharmer I'm self employed and have been selling Hot Tubs, Fireplaces, Pool Tables, and Sunrooms both retail and wholesale for about 20 years. I'm very close to manufacturing my own hot tubs and really want to call them Viper Spas but realize there are a bunch of other names more suitable. Even with that in mind I still love the name Viper Spas. Hope you and yours have some super holidays

Hi, I own a business that manufactures and sells emergency warning signals - strobe lights and sirens. Maybe some of you have seen our products in your rear view mirror.... We make products for Police, Fire, Ambulance, Aircraft and have some fun lighting up the Winston Cup pace cars every year. In fact if any of you visit CAAP, ask them to turn on the strobes on the Viper Indy pace car - we made those too.

Hope everyone has a great holiday!

I work for Daimler Chrysler at the St.Louis North Ram Truck Assembly Plant. For the last 4 years I been working in the the engine building bolting on external parts to the engines. For the last 6 months I've been putting on the coil and belt tensioner.
Not a very exciting job, but it pays decent. If I thought about my job while I was doing it I'd probably go crazy (I'm usually thinking about Viper/car stuff).

We're supposed to start building pilot vehicles for the next generation Ram Trucks (DR model) in Feb. and we'll start production of them in mid July.

Florida,
I have a commercial Real Estate company. We locate sights for strip centers and grocery stores. I also own two car lots and finance people with zero credit! Rental property is my passive income. I also day trade which costs me money so its kind of an anti-job.

Systems Programmer. (I write operating systems & device drivers) My current title is "Software Development Engineer". As most of us know, titles come cheap... It means I'm a geek like many others in the VCA. I began my life as an aspiring musician who designed his own amps because it was cheaper. Then I found it made a rather good day job. Designed mixed signal & digital ASICs, RF, high voltage & other black arts. I got into programming when it was considered a black art.

Did the Silly-Con Valley startup routine, then had my own software company for ~12 years before I joined the "dark side".

Now I work for Microsoft and I'm having loads of fun at it, in spite of Janet Reno.

I've been involved in the development of: Windows 95, NT4 & 5, several versions of IE, and now Whistler. This job didn't buy my house, but it did allow me a few of my latest toys including my GTS, and a large offshore sailboat.

There are a few other Vipers here at Microsoft, and most of us got together for lunch one day last fall:
