Anyone who knows what this could be. It comes in the trunk on the right side, together with lots of other cables. It goes from there to the left of the trunk and looks like it can control something...but what, any ideas?

If your radio doesn't work....I wouldn't look any further:), but it does look like some kind of adjustable control cable

Sounds like your signal amplifier if Viper has such a thing. Need to replace it on my Calibra too as I can only receive in-area stations

I would venture to guess your antenna cable might have come dissconnected from the antenna somehow. Otherwise, could very well be something aftermarket....on a 92/93, There wasn't much else that was back there that would look anything like that.

It's a little hard to tell from the picture since it's a little blurry, but that looks like a control cable. Can you move/pull the smaller circular 'button' on the end of the cable? What it looks like is a remote trunk release - basically a cable within a cable. Again, it's hard to tell because the picture is blurry, but if it has an adjustable locknut on it (it looks like it does) my guess would be that it's a mechanical control cable.

Can you unscrew the end piece off of it? If it is an antenna cable, my guess would be that it broke off and you can unscrew the end piece that should actually be inside the antenna base assemby.
