What kind of viper is this

What kind of Viper is this with the more squarish rear end? Isn't the ACR rear the same as a regular coupe?

That is a Competition Coupe race car.

To the best of my knowledge that is the Competition Coupe, which is not a street legal car and pre-dates the Gen IV ACR.

It a fine race car and appears to be Tommy Archer's car, a well known and successful driver!!

OK, thanks. I've seen them pictured and always wondered about it. I wonder why that rear isn't put on other models. I guess the reason it's shaped like that must have something to do with the areo. If so you would think they would incorperate it into the street cars as well.
