I dont get it... I have a helicoil in my oil pan drain plug hole FROM THE FACTORY. No one has changed the oil but me or my Viper Tech-(while I was standing right there)and he sure as hell never stripped it. Are they supposed to be like this...? Or am I being screwed somehow?

I purchased this car brand new last june.

aluminum oil pan, if it didn't have a helicoil in you would be putting one in down the road sometime anyway. :usa:

But is it supposed to be like that NEW from the factory...? I mean I really dont mind either way, as technically the HeliCoiled hole would be stronger. But I just dont understand as to why it would come from the factory like that, foresight maybe...?
