what to pay for \'06?

I'm looking to pick up an '06 from Bill Pemberton, and I'm wondering what I should be paying. If anyone else has bought from him (and had it shipped), would you mind posting what you paid? If you don't want to post it up here, you can PM me. Thanks.

Example SRT10 conv. MSRP 86,345 Invoice $78,979

Call Mark Wald

He told me that he will sell any Viper for INVOICE. I have bought about 100 vehicles from this dealership over the past 15 plus years. They are GREAT to DEAL with!

It's one thing to sell them for invoice, it's another to actually be able to get the car. Some dealers only sell 2-3 Vipers a year. They can take your order but may not have the allocation to get the car. Or it may take 8 months. That's why I stick with Bill, even if it costs me a few thousand more. When he tells me my car will be here in 6 weeks or 2 months I know he's telling me the truth. Skroll, another thing you can count on from Bill is that you will be paying what everybody else is paying, even if it is your first purchase from Bill. That's one of the ways he keeps such a great reputation. What are you planning on buying?

Re: what to pay for \'06?

For a convertible, I'd expect you could buy one for invoice less half the dealer holdback.

When I went to get my '04 I spoke with my local dealer and that was his starting point once he knew I was serious. I ended up with my new '04 for less than that via my local dealer.

Coupes will be scare at least at first so how much you could buy one for is less determinate.

Re: what to pay for \'06?

What to pay is changing quiet a bit lately. Hard to pin down an answer.
For a First edition, Blue/White, you might be close to sticker. For a regular color, should get between sticker and invoice. Now with optional wheels, strip option, and special editions..."what should I pay" will need much more information.

Pemberton is a square shooter, and stays on top of the pricing thing.

Expect some sticker shock on 06. With guzzler tax, optional wheels, and stripes expect +$90K.

This dealer here in Florida wants $102,000+ for this commemorative edition. Same dealer also has a copperhead for $100,000+. I think he is still looking for that crack pipe he lost after placing the sticker on those cars.

That's before sales tax at 6%, dealer prep, undercoating, and all the other b.s. they add on. You are probably looking at almost $110,000. I would rather go buy a low mileage rt/10, and a GTS, and have enough left over for a supercharger!

I'm looking for a black convertible, no coupe or special edition. I sent Bill Pemberton an e-mail so hopefully I will hear back from him tomorrow. thanks everyone for your responses.

I called Clippenger in West Covina, and they don't have a 2001- they said it was a solid grey 2002.

UNDERCOATING! If a dealer undercoats a Viper, he should be shot!

The price is steep but the Commemorative Edition does look good!
