Roll Bar WITH SIDEBAR for 10.00 (full CERTIFIED Roll Cage required for 9 seconds...although I have not seen one offered), harness set for at least the driver, safety loops for driveshaft and halfshafts, wheel studs that are longer than stock, wheel nuts that are open so that longer stud can protrude through, aftermarket axles, transmission and flywheel shield, approved helmet, not just DOT...same with firejacket and PANTS (for 9 second runs), neck collar for 9's among other items.

You can purchase the Roll bar, half shafts and other components directly from us if you so desire.

Good luck.

Tom

P.S. Our Roll bars are in several 9 second Vipers and we have not heard of any customers or been personally restricted from making 9 second passes.

Zosicks,
Unless they have changed the rules, you can not run a IRS in a 9.90 car, you have to change to a solid axle. I would go with the 6 point bar and a good set of harnesses, loops, and safety apparel and worry about 9 second passes when they come. NHRA tracks are where you will have to worry, on others they are not as picky and seem to let more things slide.

If you're that much of a newbie to drag racing where you don't even know the rules I suggest you practice a while stock before trying to hit into the 9s or 10s might save your life

I think this kid is just a troll. I do not believe that he actually owns a Viper. He's constantly posting questions about highly modifying his Viper but clearly does not know enough to really be in the game.

BTW zosicks = Z O 6

Go bother the people on the vette forums (I don't think he even has a Vette or license for that matter)

If I'm wrong kid, prove it and I'll be the first to apologize.

I'm talking about you also.

Either on the street or at Atco(they are open now)

Sure, is this a run what ya brung type of thing? I could borrow my old car back.

All I did is mention about a chute and you cop an attitude? *** was that all about?

But then again you probably don't know what it feels like when the chute comes out. But I do. :D

Try Frank Hawleys school before you hurt yourself.

I'm at Englishtown most Wednesday nights during the season, feel free to come see me anytime. You're not going to school me on anything unless you're talking about being a *******. I would not recommend talking sh*t to someone you do not know.

I offered an opinion based on the posts I've read from you. You've done nothing here to change my mind.

Care to mention who you bought these items from. Confirmation from them would suffice for me to admit I was wrong (about you not owning a Viper anyway).

I have only seen one Red Viper at E-Town on Wed. nights. Is that you ?
I really don't care if I changed your mind. I didn't expect to find a few A Holes like this on the Viper board.
As I said, most of the guys on the board have been very helpful.
Still calling you out to Atco in the next week or two,but knew you were just a forum racer.
Don't see any type of Viper on either one of your signatures either. Don't have one do you ? I'll have 2 as of tomorrow.
Call Tom at BTR later this week and see if I purchased a bar from him.
To all that try to help, thanks again.

If you've seen a 99 acr red/silver, then yes that's me. If you mean the same car and driver that's won the Mopar Atlantic Nationals 3 years in a row, yes that's me. Forum racer, dont think so. A**hole, definately not.

Based on Adam's voucher, I'll retract my statement about you not being a Viper owner, my mistake for seeing your posts as being troll like.

As far as Atco goes, I'd be willing to do it anytime, but at this moment the clutch is gone so it'll have to wait until I get that fixed. If you want to make it more about the driver and less about the cars, we can bracket race, otherwise I suspect that your n20 will prevail over my basically stock car.

If you call someone out for a race you should atleast know what you are up against.

I'll ask again, Why the 'tude for me saying something about a chute?
You asked about the NHRA rules and I just mentioned one more that is a big one at that speed.
If it wasn't the rules would not require it.

And if you still care to school me and I can get time off of work, I will be at the next class that Hawley has at Maple Grove. That should be in late summer IIRC. I could always use a refresher and maybe even step up in class.

But I think I may already be a few "grades" ahead of you in drag racing school so you may not be schooling me at all.

Hey Phil,

I've just never come across anything like this on this forum. I did take it personally. Maybe we can do some racing when your clutch is done. I usually go to E-Town on Friday nights. It's a hike from Long Island in traffic. Would be happy to have some fun with you at the track.
P.S. how fast is your car ?

Adam,
Thanks for chiming in. Hopefully I'll have a DLM car tomorrow. I was going to send my Gray car to DLM, but yours and a few others are a head of me(long waiting list for the best tuner). Let me know when yours comes back.

Friday nights coming down to the shore can be brutal during the summer.

The car's just got bolt on mods so I'm sure you n20 can beat my car heads up.

No hard feelings on my part.

Cheers

BTW, good luck with the new dlm car. I would suggest calling Nick at Modern Performance about that car before you buy it (unless it's a done deal) I know at least early on there were issues with that car which probably by now have been dealt with but it's worth the call if that's still an option.

While you're s[peaking with Nick ask him about Tom's roll bar. I like Tom and think he's a nice guy but I've got his bar in my car and I have been extremely disappointed with it. There may be better options out there.

Phil,

I'm sorry to hear that you are not happy with your roll bar. Please contact me with the particulars as I would like to offer assistance and increase your level of satisfaction with the product. We have delivered and/or installed over 80 units of the new design bar like yours and have received no complaints. I am disappointed that you are not happy.

Zosick,

Dont get too upset with some of the people we get alot of trolls on this forum from the corvette forums, if I may suggest a name change would be a good start.

Not down to your question. I have dealt with NHRA officials for many years now and I can tell you the most important stuff they will be looking for.

Cage, must be 10 point.
Fire suit or pants and jacket
Gloves/Shoes/neck brace all SFI approved
Snell 95 or newer helmet
Window net or arm restraints
Drive shaft loops, but on a Viper they will never be able to see it.
Wheel studs and open lug nuts
Fuel lines steel braid, the ruber stuff most of the viper vendors sell will not fly.
Parachute if your trap speeds are 150 or higher.

Everything else they will let you slide on. If they ask for things like Harmonic dampner tell them its not available. Dont worry about the IRS, they changed those rules for imports a long time ago.

Good luck.

PS. You will also need an NHRA license and chasis certification.
