What's a good Performance Driving School in Florida ?
Preferably in Central or South Florida..

The only one I know of is "Evolution Performance Driving School". Their website sounds good & you drive your own car also.

Any other recommendations ??

You should join SAFE Motorsports and get all the seat time you can handle. It is NOT a school or a racing club but it is the best track club going and is run with "school rules" like all other track clubs. All Florida Viper trackers join SAFE. We've had as many as 10 Vipers at one event, that's more than any other Make. Max cars per event is 64.

SAFE does require you to have some experience. However if you don't have experience you can be sponsored by an existing SAFE member. Sponsorship involves your sponsor riding with you until both you and the sponsor feel comfortable about you going solo. It's not difficult, just keep it on the track and observe all the safety requirements and check your ego - don't worry about getting passed by a Mazda. If you don't have experience I will sponsor you.

Thanks Chuck.. I'd love to do that. It looks like the next event is May 23 at Sebring. Will you be attending that event? What do I need to do to get registered, just fill out the application at the SAFE website?

I will need a sponsor, but I'm sure I won't have any trouble qualifying. I'll email you in the next day or 2, THANKS!!

Before going to a track take Skip Barbers racing school or Two day performance driving program. I also suggest a few car control clinics. It is safer to have good car control training and experience before putting your car on a track.

My wife and I just finished taking the 2-day Skip Barber High performance driving class in California with much seat time in the SRT-10. What a blast and what a first class outfit! I highly recommend it + you get 25% discount as a Viper Club member.
