Whats faster /quicker than a Gen 2 Viper?????

Hi all, I know my GTS has great 0/60, quarter mile, and awesome top end! My question is which autos could clean my clock?? Are there any?? Is a Porsche TT faster/ quicker?? I see so many different speeds,1/4 mile times etc. in different mags. It seems like Autoweek, Motortrend, Road&Track, seem to favor the foreign competition. Viper owners seem to be well versed on this topic, please shed some light on this subject... Thanks...AL...00prowler...

Stock for Stock you won't get your clocked cleaned by anything out there! Unless you're talkin about million dollar exotics. The Viper will stomp a Porsche 911 in the ground stock for stock! A 911 Turbo isn't stock in my view. A 911 is stock. Other cars that the Viper will beat stock for stock.....

That's great mystic but the thread starter said STOCK vs. STOCK. Supras can be made to go incredibly fast!! Ask Peter or SW. But that's not what we're talking about here. A lightly modded Viper (on race gas) will kill a lightly modded Supra! All day long!

What am I talking about? I have seen numerous reports of stock camaros and supras beating the pants of of vipers. The other day I read a story about a guy in a civic who passed a guy in a viper on the highway. Yes, that's right I said the highway. Man, that must have been quite a race. Granted, the civic was not stock. It had a BMW body kit, very large K&N cone sticking through the front headlight, and a starkbucks exhaust. THE CIVIC DID NOT HAVE STICKERS. Totally a sleeper. No one would know the performance potential of the car if they just saw it on the highway.

Let me be the 1st to tell you buddy, "Don't believe everything you read." Please. I'm here to tell you, from actual experience, a stock Z28 could NEVER in life even compete with a stock Viper! I use to own Z28's & I took one to the limit at Motorsport Technologies. There's over a full 1 second difference in the 1/4 mile for cryin out loud.

And a stock Supra could NEVER in life begin to compete with a stock Viper. You could give both those cars land & still beat them BAAADD!

I saw a Z28 with octane booster pass a mercielago on the highway. I'm pretty sure that the Lamborghini was racing because the little air duct things were sticking out. I'm sorry if you spent enough money to buy four camaros on a car that is about half as good as a Z28. You can put four people in a Z28. You can't do that in a viper! Plus, you could have bought four camaros for the price of a viper so you could have 16 people in your cars rather than just two. It's simple math.

Trey, in the two cases I have seen with my own eyes the GTS will beat the 911 TT The only advantage the TT has is if the Viper driver cannot launch his car without spin. Then and only then will the TT get the jump. But the Viper can still catch it in the quarter. As for real advantage, the GTS pulls almost 20 car lengths on the 911 TT at Road America on the straight, and that was done with comparable driving skill!

Wow, now I am the youngest viper owner! That beats that guy in last months viper mag who was given one when he turned 16. Actually, I'm 24 and haven't had a chance to put up a new avatar since I bought the Final Edition. Do you know how many camaro "sreet cars" I could have bought instead? There are many STOCK or slightly modified cars that can easily BLOW past a Viper at any speed on the hiway! (Supras,Camaros,Civics, Porsches,Ferraris ect,ect) even with a lousy driver!! ..
