When jacking the Viper up can you do this with out harm?

I can't get myself to spend a lot of money on a low profile floor jack yet, but was wondering if this can be done.

If I were to raise the rear of the Viper up with a floor jack on the rear diffential housing just enough where I could put another jack under the jacking points of the viper..would I be doing any harm or taking any chances of harming my car?

As Ron has said, you can just drive up on 2 x 10 or 2 x 12
pieces of wood about 18" long and then jack the car up from the sides. I do this with my lowered Z06. If you do jack the car up
from the back, you might want to use the frame for the jack placement.

To raise it from the rear the floor jack will need to be long enough to reach back to the frame. If you have one, great. Griots has one I think. I don't like putting a jack on the diff if I don't have to.

Otherwise, drive onto a piece of 2X12 and jack it from the sides.

I have been told:
DO NOT JACK THE CAR UP FROM THE DIFF HOUSING.
What I do is use the 2x4 idea, then jack the rear up from the frame or the jacking point on the side (where you would put the sissor jack provided from the factory).
