I bought off Ebay from a dealer called Celebrity Cars Las Vegas. I was worried about buying a car sight unseen on Ebay, especially when no Vegas members could tell me anything about the dealer or even take a look at the car for me. Turns out it was a great experience. Car was exactly as advertised and they took care of me no problem. They are located in the Palazzo hotel on the strip.

Thanks for the info! Holy cow, some crazy situations!

I am located in Illinois, and have met and driven with John Gastman of Roanoke. He seems like a great guy. I feel comfortable with him, but the hard thing is the supply of these arent too high.

Just gonna keep observing all the random sites...

Thanks!
Ron

I'ld go Woodhouse next time, or Viper Exchange. Mark at Woodhouse is always willing to lend an ear and advice to a Viper guy. Good people!

Hey guys,

Looking to buy a viper, but there are so few places, AND so many shady dealers...

been scoping ebay, cars, viper exchange, VCA classifieds, craigslist....

any ideas?

thanks,
Ron
Viper Exchange or Woodhouse are the main two to buy from IMO and many others. They are the strongest and best Viper dealers with a good selection and after the sale help and knowledge. Another might be the VCA classifieds for used Vipers.

Dan Deery Dodge, terrible experience, unprofessional sales manager. I would't buy a cup of coffee from them.

Well, was it good or bad? I've heard they're like the wal-mart of used car dealers! Lots & Lots of Volume & Very Cheap Prices, just not real sure of the quality! Also heard there's a lot of turnover with the sales people (does that sound like wal-mart)!

I bought my most recent Viper from Woodhouse through Bill Pemberton. As noted above, they are one of the largest if not the largest Viper dealers in the US and great to deal with. They have enclosed trailers to deliver your vehicle to your door for a reasonable price. In addition, Mark Jorgensen has a wealth of technical expertise that he is willing to share.

No problems for me! I called them up, they offered a sales price of about 2k below the buy it now price and after I made my deposit they removed from ebay. Setup financing through them (later refi with Pen Fed at great rate 1.49%) and setup shipping for later that week. All in all a good transaction. They show tons of pictures of their vehicles and car arrived as described. I would use them again.

Bought 3 vipers and 2 trucks from Willie Pemberton a.k.a. 'Paco' at Woodhouse. My Dad got 1 Viper and 3 dodge vehicles from him as well.
2 vipers from John Gastman at Roanoke and my brother got a viper from here as well.
1 prowler from Latham Motors in Twin Falls Idaho

All were great experiences except Latham. I NEVER GOT A SECOND SET OF KEYS FOR THE VEHICLE - so I never went back there!

Traded my yellow 05, (after I had 2 deals fall through to buy it outright), to a broker in Florida that represented a former VCA member selling his 2, 08 convertibles. An SSG vert and the Viper Violet ARY vert that I now have...and love!:2tu:

VCA classifieds from a VCA member. Drove 4 hours to look at it and check it over. Since I came prepared with the money I drove it back home the same day. It was great weather and a fun drive home.

Put me down as another one for Bill Pemberton at Woodhouse. Made it wayyyyyy too easy. I was all too happily parted from my cash in the blink of an eye. Gave him the CC number for the deposit on I think a Thursday and that Saturday afternoon I had the car unloading in my driveway. Everything was exactly as it should have been.

I will very likely NEVER deal with the local dealer again for an SRT vehicle purchase.

Dan Deery Dodge, terrible experience, unprofessional sales manager. I would't buy a cup of coffee from them.

My parents come from a town in Iowa where Dan's brother Brad owns all but two of the domestic brands franchise rights. No one I've talked to who has done business at his dealership has ever had a good experience, so it doesn't surprise me that his brother is the same.
