The heat in the cabin. For me, that's the one design element that they just screwed up. In the summer, in humidity it's unbearable sometimes even with high flo cats and insulated sills. Reroute the exhaust, better heat shield between engine and cockpit...something.

Battery location-True, but necessary for 50/50 weight distribution.

There's nothing wrong with the location. I guess I should have said the battery accessibility.

I think I'd have to go with pedal placement and no dead pedal.


Carful what you wish for. My Gen III dead pedal is in my trunk.

My foot kept catching it when clutching. :curse:

The hubs, aftermarket wheels would be much cheaper.
The cheap looking plastic dash.

Battery location is fine (e.g. rearward); it's the battery access that is stupid. If weight balance was the goal, they should have put it on the passenger side. Then add an access panel from the trunk.

I could use a little more leg room as well; if they would have shortened the seat some.......the dash hits my chin.

I guess I am too easy to please, but the fact that I cannot adjust the passenger side rear view mirror to see well (I have to lean over to get a good view) is my pet peave. I bet if I was a little taller I wouldn't have a problem. Didn't God know I was going to have a Viper?

Why in the Sam Hell could they not move the headlight switch someplace else. I agree the cockpit is small. I am 6'3", 260lbs. I had the seat lowered 2" which was great. The pedals adjust on my Gen 2, so that is great. But if they just moved the damn headlight switch, my left knee would be much, much more comfortable.

A trunk release from inside or key-fob would be nice.

I'm ~5'8" and I have the "luxury" of a little too much leg room that it's hard to get a view on passenger side mirror without leaning over.

Brake: front wheels lock up so easily. I've found my self "drifting" twice because of this.

The rear wheels aren't flush with the rear fenders, has always bugged me.

Ugly ass steering wheel.

Agreed here, but I have the Roe High Flo Cats/Exhaust and my cabin heat is VERY minimal in summer traffic...maybe GEN2 is different?

Exhaust note... Sounds like a UPS truck. Vipers should come standard with hi-flow cats and B&B 3" Catback (which I'm installing next week) :D The coolant recovery bottle being located behind the front fascia...seems like someone's twisted joke.

The sun visors...they're too narrow and need to be wider so when I put them up they will deflect the wind over my head better and I can keep my hat on while driving :cool: .

Seatbelt needs to be attached to the body so when I open the door I don't keep choking myself :p .

Needs front dam "feeler" too.

love the gen2 if i had to be picky:

heat in cabin
twitchy handling
stock brakes
no ac on my feet
carpet on the doors (wt f?)

all of it addressed in gen3 with a fugly look :D

all of it can be addressed with the aftermarket too.
no cats + wrap
gen3 brake upgrade
interior upgrade

windows pop out slightly at speed. the fix would be adding the bumper things on the top of the door like some other cars have to keep the windows in at speed.

Access hatch in trunk for battery needed.
Skip shift removal is necessary.
The crank needs to be pinned at the factory.

I'm sure I will get flamed for this but I think the sneaky pete emblem is rather lame. Oh, and the power steering cap issue, and late model water pumps. And what is that weird foam crap they make the console parts out of.

How about a better, more reliable alarm system that doesn't lock you out (or in) when the remote gets confused. Better A/C would be nice, too.

+12 million!!!

That light switch bezel hits me right below the knee cap. Very uncomfortable.
