Tony,
I am running the full Belanger system.....no cats/3" pipe/4 Walker race bullet mufflers. With the Race computer plugged in I dynoed 413.9/461.1 with an A/F ratio which dipped into the 9's at 4400 RPM and stayed down there for the rest of the test. We then unplugged the computer and went back to stock. The numbers now read 430/464.2 with the A/F ratio dropping below 11 at 4000 RPM My buddy with the 97 GTS and same mods did 457/495 with the stock computer. With the Mopar computer, he was 20 something less on each number. On his best run, his A/F ratio did not drop below 13 until after 5500 RPM. 97's don't have a light problem to start with. He had bought the race computer hoping for a performance gain. He sent it back to Parts Rack(they took it willingly). The guy who owned the dyno shop was a former Arrow engine guy and did the dyno testing last year for a Motor Trend article with a Corvette and Viper. He told me my power loss had a lot to do with my rich mixture. Of the 4 cars there that day(97Belanger,98TNT,99ACR-TNT,00Belanger), mine had by far the worst A/F ratio and was the lowest in power of those tested. The 97 Belanger GTS had the most horse power and torque.
When a MIL is set, I believe the computer goes into a 'safe' mode and runs rich. This was confirmed when I got home and had it scanned. My fuel parameters were 22% off.
I have an Equus 3100 OBII reader in the mail---$140 delivered.
